Temporal Fugue needs work please.
Hi, i'm getting a little tired of every time I activate 'TF' the first thing that happens is I get blasted by a title wave of thermal grenade explosions! Which instantly leaves me running around like a chicken with its head cut off looking for a safe corner to hide in.

Can you please work on the AI so your own helping clones, or dimensional yous will think about your safety before it starts dropping bombs. :cozycastondeath:

Agreed. They always start using grenades. And ranged weapons, even if they are esper clones or strong melee characters. Also, they don't know how to use forcefields and Burgeoning mutations. TF is my favorite mutation, but I really think it needs some small rework.

Pretty sure fugue clones will only throw grenades you have equipped. Same with ranged weapons. Just unequip anything you don't want them to use.

On the other hand, you can give also equip the best grenade for a given situation. For example, equip an EMP grenade then send them into one of those treasure rooms guarded by turrets.

The thing with TF is it's already one of the most powerful mutations, but you need to tailor your build around that one mutation for the mutation to reach it's full potential, as opposed to being a hassle or complete disaster.

It took me probably a couple dozen characters to develop a fugue build that works perfectly with my play-style.
Temporal Fugue is too powerful as it is. There should be some more limitations such as sharing damage to a point and/or a drawback for having the mutation like mass mind.

Why not get teleported into situations where you're the one being summoned?

No man, too powerful isn't the point, every time I use it I get shot 3-4 times by my own clones! They will stand behind me and try to shoot over my shoulder or underneath my armpit and hit me, over and over. In my opinion its useless. I only use it when i'm in danger of dying already.

And that leads me to my next point. I've posted about this ages ago. Missed shots have way way way too high of a chance to hit the wrong target. Every time i'm shooting at something outside, I kill more neutral mobs in the background than i'm aiming for most times.

*Someone please make a mod for lowering accidental hits on missed shots*

I haven't played CoQ for about a year but have they changed how you can use a heavy wisdom build to crazily compound temporal fugue with mass mind and have like 30+ vibro kopesh wielding, mind-flaying, teleporting clones at one time on screen? If not Temporal Fugue is probably the most powerful mutation in the game when used correctly. It is literally one of the builds you can use to take on chrome pyramids with almost 0 risk, and clear entire lower depth floors in seconds with very little effort. If they haven't changed this then Temporal Fugue only needs work in the sense that is it crazy overpowered and I don't think it needs help there either because this is a single player game and it is a hilariously fun combo.

Raise your Agility? Missed shots just miss, there's nothing telling them to gravitate towards different targets. Asking for just straight up better accuracy across the board I think defeats one of the main purposes of Agility, if every character regardless of build stands a decent chance at hitting their intended target with a rifle or other ranged weapon, then what's even really the point of making an all rifle/pistol build since you could do any other build and still get like 70% efficacy with your ranged weapons? It's diminishing returns.

Did you even read my post before typing out your reply? I never asked for better accuracy, not once. So you don't have to be bothered to actually read my original post, I said missed shots hit un-intended targets too much. IF anything i'm asking to lower the accuracy. Now, since you seem to need a full background to provide merit to my comment, my last character with Temporal Fugue was from the weekly challenge where we were given characters with borderlands pistols to start, and the character also had a very good starting Agility, I think it was like 20 to start. I made it up to level 10 and always put my points into agility. Now, that I explained the full background of where my comment originates from, does it make more sense or do you want to instruct me on how to put more points into agility?

Your post makes no sense. You say you want shots to hit unintended targets less, and then you say you actually want LESS accuracy? These are contradictory statements, you can't hit other targets less without more accuracy, and vice versa.

You need a better understanding of the English language.

I think you need to reevaluate your critique and take a closer look at what your suggestion is implying.

OP getting pretty snarky with people just trying to help you and give their advice. Funny, because they're actually giving you great advice and you're responding with contradictory nonsense and insults.

I've played many characters centered around TF, and can get them to end game levels without any of the issues you're experiencing. You just suck at using TF.

TF clones always spawn in roughly the same location relative to your character. It's very predictable and there's absolutely no reason to ever get shot by them if you play smart.

If you need to use TF from such a position where friendly fire has even a small chance of killing you, JUST UNEQUIP YOUR RANGED WEAPON. The clones will still deal damage as well as create a diversion if you need to make an escape. I've already explained this too, but still OP continues to complain about TF and friendly fire... smh.

Or just plan out your encounters so you can safely use TF without putting yourself in danger.

tldr; TF is a very powerful mutation, one of the strongest in the game. You just need to take the time to learn the mechanics and then plan your character build and your combat encounters around it's quirks.

Why are you posting a reply on a 3 year old message? Got nothing better to do?
