Afaik, nowhere garanteed.

Mid / high tier dromad merchant can sometime have one. I've seen one in a random apothecary and good old argyve already sold me one but basically it's down to luck.

Your best bet is to craft them. High level dromad traders can sell them on the rare occasion, but crafting them is better if you want lots of them.

So is it gauranteed that there is atleast one high level dromad trader? And what is the best strategy to find one?

Luck.

finding a high level dromad is rng. if you have the patience you can roll a character and sprint to the stilt and see what merchants there have to offer and if you don't have the luck just do it again on a new character. this is or was a tactic for espers to get a good headstart early game with gear pilfered from high lvl dromads

They can randomly be found deep underground (substrata 20+) but there are no guarantees you'll find one, let alone that they will sell what you want.

Now I am not even sure, waht will be better, trying to find high level merchant with spheres of negative weight, or trying to get enough intelligence to just tinker it

Tinkering it will be your best bet.

If you specialize in swords, you can utilize the disarm ability to swipe weapons out of any enemy's hands, up to and including Chrome Pyramids. This means you can confront Leering Stalkers in Deathlands, disarm them, and dismantle their blast cannons for the rare component needed to make the spheres. This way, you'll obtain spheres hand over fist since Leering Stalkers are a very common enemy.

I'd suggest against fighting them until you have a vibro weapon of some kind. They're heavily armored and will otherwise take you ages to kill one after disarming. And even then, you still need to be careful if robots remain hostile to you due to poor relations, Chrome Pyramids can also rarely spawn there.

But will I be able to get enough materials for the spheres as an Esper?
ephemeraltoast May 1, 2021 @ 11:07am
Well, what do you need all these spheres for? Are you just trying to carry around a bunch of crap? There are many other ways to manage inventory. You can have a companion carry stuff for you, you can consolidate water-money into the lighter form of trade goods (jewels), you can leave stashes of lesser-used items in strategic places that you can instantly recoil to.

Any of these options are vastly more practical (and more accessible pre-endgame) than trying to find high level dromads or farm leering stalkers.

My goal is to freely carry Fist of the Ape God, or two of them, if I manage to find Polygel

Blasphemous! I cannot endorse your homicidal tendencies towards my ape god bro, and so I say GOOD DAY to you.

I don't see why not. The other materials to make the spheres are pretty common.

I hope you also got another set of hands to carry your 2nd fist.

it's only 120lbs, get a hoversled and some elbow grease and it should be fine. It weight the same as a fullerite flake armor and a freeze ray.

Beside, a build aimed toward using the Fist should already have above average strenght for it to be useful .
