how to clean slime off of gear?

hey guys any tips on how to remove slime from gear?

I have tried using the clean command in a pool of clean water as well as dropping the items into the pool. Neither work so I am at a bit of a loss.

Sometimes you have to do it more than once, depending on how much of your gear is slimed.

Also try moving off the tile you're on each time, as cleaning your equipment will create a puddle of slime (or whatever else) where you're standing.

easy way is to go into your inventory and select one of your containers that has fresh water, one of the options is clean, it will clean off all the dirty stuff

You can also save fresh water by using brackish water.
Go up next to some brackish water, hit space or ctrl+space and press the direction to the water to select the water. Then hit clean all gear.

Don't stand in the pool while cleaning, since sufficiently deep pools automatically cover you with whatever is in them. You just wind up dirty again from standing in a dirty pool. Stand next to the pool instead, and step off the puddle of dirty water that drops off you the next turn to avoid having to keep cleaning.
