starting pet details
so can anyone give me some details on the somewhat recent starting pets? nobody seems to be talking about them whats special about the snapjaw retainer nanna and such?

Pets generally aren't meant to substantially affect the balance of the game or anything, they're just a cute little bonus that you can sometimes manipulate into a powerhouse (find Kizby's "clever girl" mod in the workshop to level up your followers without using Domination!)

The snapjaw retainer is... literally just a snapjaw retainer, he's cute but he doesn't really have anything going for him

NaN-N/A is a robot, which can be advantageous, but isn't exactly a statistical giant either.

You, but mechanical is you, but mechanical. The nice thing about this is that they will mimic your body blueprint, so if you have a stinger they'll have a stinger too. If you have four arms, so will they.

I hope eventualy will be added companion interaction ,(as there are many way to gain fallowers/friends/companions) but very little you can interact with them

being able to make them use better gear , level them up add mutations as they level and change their combat strategy would be nice(like make character only use ranged , or use melee only , or avoid close combat , be careful about FF)

even if it would be very basic , it would be great adition to the game

I agree, that'd be good! I can't say what 1.0's companion management is gonna look like because the team leads are really starting to get us all focused on the final stretch of development, and some features may not be able to be expanded. That said, I will be advocating for better companion control, myself :)

Pets are great, I even learned the bare basic of modding for my favorite, Man Opener to give her some good starting strength. Plus its a nice bonus to try keeping her alive long while or just leaving them at the stilt.

Just for some good fun, little game breaking if you tweak some numbers and it helps the devs.

its for parthon supporters (i alweys misspell it due dislexia so sorry) if you throw 5$ at devs you get code with pets , you can then cancel it but they keep adding new pers every now and then so your code will only grant pets "to date you tiped them 5$"
I miss my pet leet from Anarchy Online.
