goup and godown wish commands

Ive been having trouble getting any of them to work on any of my characters and when i say getting them to work i cant get them to work at all. Which is pretty irritating when im 50+ levels down and i get zipped to the other side of the map and to the surface from a psychic assassin vortex, or when im playing my putus templar and get chucked up to floor 18 from 38.

are these commands bugged or turned off by default? If not am i some how putting them in wrong?

goup is not a wish. Instead, use godown with a negative number, such as godown:-10
