Axe skills and how they interact with off-hand attacks.
I want to do a long blade main hand and invest in off-hand skills as well. I did not see a post here that is recent and the wiki does not say if the axe skills require to be in the main hand. I know this is a quick one off question that I would normally ask in a discord, but that is apparently an issue for reasons.

Active Axe skills only work when they're wielded in the primary hand/limb. You can still use it for the passive cleave and dismember chance in the off-hand though.

So that would mean that the only axe skill that would be wasted with axes in the off hand is hook and drag? The axe charge skill seems to modify the normal charge skill so would still function? (and berserk as well)

I can't remember if you can activate berserk without an axe as your primary weapon, but this should be correct.

Isn't passive chance to dismember really low? You basically need to use berserk

The main point of off-hand axes is to cleave tbh, but sometimes you just have to play a build to get a feel for it.

The cleave passive is what I was looking to get out of going axe-off hand for a chimera. The base 3% dismember for how ever many attacks I end up with is icing. As I understand the math behind an attack each attack that gets past the DV defense has a chance to do its base damage 3 times per attack, meaning that if my target lives past the first round the second round's potential damage will be increased by each cleave proc the target received in the first round for every weapon that lands a hit in the second round.
