Can't kill templar during attack on grid gate

I can't kill the purple named guy when the putus templar attack grid gate, he makes the death sound every time I attack him and it says badly wounded.

I'm having the same problem with a Knight Commander of the Holy Temple near Ezra. He makes the death sound, and he has a stack of dead bodies he's standing on but he never permanently dies.

Is it possible you're fighting a wraith knight? That's a type of templar enemy that's basically a ghost and can't be killed by anything but phase weapons.

no it wasn't a wraith knight, there was a wraith knight in the battlebut that wasn't him. The unkillable guy was lured down the stairs about 3 levels under grid gate and when I went back the quest was completed.

If those of you having this problem could send your player log or save folders to [e-mail], AlphaBeard has said he likes having save files to debug when bugs like this crop up
