where does the sacred well go?

if you use a spiral borer to dig a stair case down through the sacred well, you just end up in a subterranean salt desert zone, and the sacred well just remains sitting on the stair case tile.

so where are all the artifacts going? is someone collecting them? where are they being stored? is it some kind of portal or pocket dimension type thing? what could they doing with them all?

One possibility is that the artifacts are being collected and stored somewhere on the instructions of Shekhinah and he has hidden motives for acquiring the items. A more mundane possibility is that the group just stores them somewhere with no plans to use them in the near future and Shekhinah is not that interested in the matter.
