Finding World Map Locations
I found standard locations with the L key but as I travel I seem to be discovering stuff that I, later, don't know how to get to I think.

So is it the case that stuff gets revealed through movement and if so how do I find it again after discovering it. Aka I think I was travelling on the world map to red rock and it said something about a ruins or something and it may have asked me if I wanted to enter there and I didn't but later I don't know where that is to go to it afterward. I also seem to be getting quests that I am not sure where they are located at so is there an easy way to find those locations.

So, am I mis-remembering this and if not how do I find stuff that is revealed on the World Map. I did find the journal that seems to have a list of locations but not how to find them or mark them or locate them... Overall I am having trouble finding all locations on the World Map and have to rely on google to see if I can find the area to look in so wonder if even major locations are marked in some way so they are easier to find. Like pick a quest or journal entry and say mark this location so that I know where it is.

Also, when I randomly teleport or teleport using Space-Time Vortex I have trouble finding my icon on the world map to see where I am, any way to locate my icon on the world map before I move and try to see the movement which doesn't always work.

when you find a location or something important it should be marked on your map, quests don't always show the location on the map, try asking the quest giver, they may tell you how to find it
pressing alt while on the world map will highlight icons like your location and found locations
as far as quests "find location" they won't always know where it is, in that case, look at statues, do water rituals and ask for secrets to help find it

Most locations do not get highlighted by default and only some of the discovered location change the visual of the map tile (e.g. discovered villages + historic sites)

Bu tall discovered location do appear in your 'J'ournal under the locations tab (the one that it opens to by default)
You can toggle if any particular location is highlighted on the overmap from within this list buy going to the correct location category (select and enter) then you can toggle the visibility of any of the location in that category

I tend to always manually mark each location as I find it and once I have done everything I want there then unmark it

You can also add your own personal map marked from the location list as well if you find something you want to come back to later
