Removing "itchy skin" from followers
Greeting's

So in my most recent run I am running and esper with Beguile and proselytize so I have 2 followers with me. While heading to the rust wells we encountered a fungi biome. While I was careful to avoid any aggressive mushrooms my followers were not and would run through spores at a moments notice, they both now have the "Itchy Skin" effect which I know turns into a full blown infection of shrooms given time (Previous experience), I have been able to cure the infection in the past for myself after a trek to the 6 day stilt (I am currently there). I got some Yuckwheat as I read it can help but they have no interest in it so I am unsure what to do now.

As an opinion where I don't mind the infection when it pertains too me as I see it as another interesting part of my adventurer's story. Followers seem a bit more difficult and also have very little interest when combat is involved to avoid the spores if possible making them a bit more of an inconvenience in that regard, I don't want to kill them and find new members as I have grown fond of them both. Maybe something to help them avoid the spores could be remedy for this issue.

Any suggestions or ideas to help my dilemma are very appreciated.

Well, not sure but you - probably - can cure them like PC. But for this oyu will need that mutation that allow control different body.

Add a keybind for Wish. Wish for "Swap" to dominate your follower. Wish for "curefungus" to cure the fungus. Wish for "Swap" to return to your own body.

The pathfinding on followers is a bit sketchy, and there isn't a UI that lets you cure them, so I don't mind using cheats in this situation.

IMO, Apothecaries should have a "cure disease" service that directly cures yourself and followers. There should also be "anti-fungal chairs" similar to hyberbiotic beds.

Ive been throwing a conniption about this for months. Its BS as far as I'm concerned.

I agree with this. In fact, I think followers shouldn't be infected at all.

I think this is something that should be fixed as part of quality of life changes. However, I have infected all of grit gate before and it never manifested as a fully grown fungus. Does anyone know if the followers ever even get to that stage?

The in game solution is Dominate, eat yuckwheat, by the way. However, options to control your followers better would be welcome. We should be able to equip allies and freeze equipment slots (stop replacing your fully skilled crysteel long swords with random trade good weapons I have you carrying, clone!). We should be able to feed companions from our inventory. We should be able to locate companions from a menu somewhere so that we don’t have to babysit who might get left on a dungeon floor randomly when they followed you 130 times before.

This feature (companions) should be fully supported if it’s to be present. I’m sure it will be eventually! For now, use the graciously provided Wish commands to fix the problems. I just gave myself Dominate which I use only to get around the shortcomings of the system, not for game cheating.
