Tip for "Love at First Sign" achievement

After getting a a love potion/tube/flask/thing, use it on yourself. enable mouse controls and right-click on the sign, as the non-mouse look defaults to the player, and enjoy being emotionally invested in an inanimate object.

I would assume you actually have to use mouse controls for this, the look key from the keyboard always starts on the player character.

Can't you bring up the interaction menu with ctrl space, select the sign and look at it?

In theory, yes. In practice however, it didn't work when I tried it that way (I actually just got this achievement the other day).
