A couple of questions for the veterans
I do spend time on the Wiki, but dang its so chalk full of virusy ads. I wish it were a higher quality site, with quite frankly, more content (but then again, I've added nothing there).

Ok, here are the questions:

1. Is there any difference between water vessels? Is a canteen and a waterskin essentially the same thing? It seems that you can concoct recipes in the canteen, but I really don't know.

2. When I was playing a lot last year, I thought there was an in-game list of item modifier terms, such as defining what 'lacquered' means, or 'sturdy', etc. I do understand many of them, such as 'slender' being less weight, and 'lacquered' being immune to rust, but where else can I find the complete list?

3. I also remember there being a list of the calendar months somehwere? That whole part with the waxing and wanining moon - all those descriptions, I'd like to know a lot more about that. Like, what does it mean when a dusk is 'jeweled'? Has to mean something.

4. Is there any in-depth tutorial on tinkering? Obviously there is nothing in-game, but maybe a thread or post on some site that people have used? I want to venture into this, but really don't know where to start.

I appreciate any and all advice. Thanks in advance,

1. the one time I've had to cure something (ironshank) I believe the corpus required I mix it in a glass vial. afaik canteens, waterskins, and oilskins are all equivalent.

2. leveling tinkering will let you explore the modification recipes you've learned and their effects. otherwise, just inspecting items will explain their modifications below the flavor text.

3. I've never paid any attention to the calendar, so I can't say.

4. tinkering is pretty simple, I always start with Disassemble so I can start collecting bits early on, then branch into Tinkering I, then Scavenger, then anything else that seems useful. turrets and bombs are fun, and I hear going beyong Tink I / II isn't very useful, and I never have enough INT to go further than that anyway. item mods seem to be the best tink recipes to collect, as they can make your best items even better and seemingly stack without limit. everything has its use, though.

Yep you pretty much answered everything for me=D

Thankyou for the detailed response. I'll confidently jump into tinkering.

I get tinkering on basically every build. it's invaluable and the investment is minimal.

Awesome, yeah I've just started messing with Espers (after 30 hours of playing lol), and tinkering should work well with that build.

espers are, in my experience, far and away the most powerful and versatile class. teleport is just a godsend in most ugly situations. have fun!
