Golgotha elevator reuse?
So I just managed to make it to Golgotha for the first time, and made it to the bottom floor without issue. However, I dropped into the bottom floor right next to the elevator pannel, and (seemingly somewhat foolishly) went with my first instinct to use the pannel before exploring the floor at all. This returned me to the surface without the broken waydroid I needed to progress my quest, and as I could not figure out how, or if I was even able to return the elevator to the bottom floor, I simply dove right back into Golgotha and made it to the bottom floor a second time. However, after finding the waydroid I needed, killing the slog, and exploring the entirety of the bottom floor, it seems I am now stuck. The elevator seemingly won't function a second time, there's no stairs I can find to ascend floors, and so far as I'm aware my character has no access to any sort of teleportation that would allow me to escape to a different area entirely.

So, am I just entirely stuck then? My longest-lived, most powerful character yet doomed to rot away amidst a heap of rusted trash and foul, oozing sludge, simply because I was outwitted by a treacherous one-way elevator?

Use recoiler?

And btw, when you use panel this time, you stay on place where elevator must be? This time you push switch not to ascend, but to recal elevator from top floor, probably it can't return, if you stay where it need to get back.

Huh... So that's what recoilers do. I've been a bit gunshy about fiddling with items I'm not familiar with since accidentally love-injecting myself while already lovesick over the apple farmer's daughter and tanking my willpower down to 1 for a while.

Anyways, thanks a lot for the tip. It seems a faulty call button shan't be the end of Ted Testudo, Sword-and-Board Tortise-Lord! (God I love this game)

Did you ever make it back up?

Also, games aren't perfect - if you think you encountered a bug or something that just doesn't feel right to you, go ahead and use Wish to fix it.
That elevator doesn't go back down by design. Opens the door to cheese Golgotha too easily.

Yeah but a rubbergum injector let's you just jump down the elevator shaft anyways. But I suppose if that's really a concern then something along the lines of the elevator call button on the topside is broken so it can only be used to go up.

It's understandable to some degree from a procedurally generated level but Golgotha is much less randomized, it should have these kinds of considerations.

I just finished Golgotha for the first time, and the elevator took me upside to a locked room. Thankfully my character has teleport but how are other characters supposed to be able to leave that room with a locked security door? I know it's on the overland map so < would take a character out, but, it's possible to be lost there too. So a lost character without teleport or a way to eat through the walls would be trapped.

There is a button in that locked room that opens the door.

For what it's worth, you can also fly down.
