Heat Resist Equipment?
So, if you're trying to raise passive heat resist to very high levels without carapace, there doesn't seem to be very many options, all I know about are issachari sun veils.

Cold resist doesn't have this issue as elastyne skull caps, ape fur gloves, ape fur cloaks, homoelectric wrist warmers all give very large amounts of cold resist in addition to standard resist gear like wooly modifications, plastifiier gear, etc.

Just wondering if I'm missing any other heat resist specialty gear.

Blaze injectors, although those are short-term. Fullerite flake armor is decent, but it's -DV armor and somewhat rare. Most plastifer items give some heat resistance (along with all the other types). I can't think of much more either. Fortunately, heat resist isn't all that necessary either, in my experience (unless you want to go up against someone with a flamethrower? For that, injectors should be sufficient). There are few heat-using enemies and those are not such a big threat. In part, this is because heat deals damage over time, but absurdly enough, it does not seem to matter if you are at 300 °C or 9000 °C - you will still only suffer 1 damage per turn, and the only difference is how long you will keep suffering that 1 damage. (Above 10000 °C, you will vaporize and die instantly, so that's one threshold that's worth keeping in mind.)

Aside from the sun veils, I don't think there's any gear that gives just heat resist. But it is possible to hit 100 heat resist if you combine a bunch of the high-end gear that boosts all four resists, plus the heat/cold things like wooly tinkering mod and the one endurance skill. 100 being the max, which makes you immune to heat damage.

Not that it makes a lot of sense to. As Racocac pointed out, being on fire isn't very dangerous. Heat resist is effective for things that do heat damage directly (pyrokinesis, those oozes), but those things are pretty rare.

It is convenient to be fire immune if you are going to be setting a lot of stuff on fire, but in that case you probably want to fit carapace into your build, which makes max heat resist easy. I actually used to have a carapace+pyrokinesis+flaming hands+spontaneous combustion character with a flamethrower and max heat resist, it's fun to set the world on fire.

Edit: I made a test character with 100 heat resist using nothing special (no mutations, historical site items, etc., just stuff anyone with tinkering can acquire). I'm going to spoiler the details in case anyone wants to discover how to get there for themselves:

IMO the non-obvious tricks are: putting two-faced on a helm so that you can equip 2x sun veils; modding homoelectric wrist warmers to be wooly and using two; and getting the quantum mote from the end of the Grit Gate questline. This gets you to just over 100 (I think it would be 103 if not capped). There are other chest pieces that give a little more than crysteel shardmail, but you don't need it and you'd lose a lot of AV. This setup can still hit 18 AV with reinforced mods despite sacrificing a little AV for resists.

Ah yeah I knew it was possible, just wondering if I was missing something since it's weird that you can get a lot of purely cold resist equipment, but not heat resist. It does seem like it's not very worthwhile for a non-carapace build to go all the way to 100% since you have to use a pretty specific armor setup. Getting just "a lot" seems better

Actually got a question, how did you get those sneakers to be wooly? Or was that just via wish. I've noticed a large amount of my equipment can't be tinkered with mods in the ways I would expect. Like the plastifier gloves can be wooly, but I don't see anything for the sneakers for instance, even though I can wooly other boots.
