Electrical Generation is great but

if you have any npc followers they will die very quickly from the random chain discharges unless they have electric resist. :P

it wasnt that bad at lower levels but once you get more than 10 charges it can go anywhere and do a lot of friendly fire in tight spaces.

I've come to hate most sources of PC Electric damage because of this, or random friendlies in the area. Especially Electric Modified weapons, which are very inconsistent about if they arc or not.

Thankfully, Prayer Rods don't arc, which adds another notch to their 'probably the best weapon in the game overall.'
