Fungicide only kills mushrooms. It doesn't counteract spores, and will actually damage you if you have a full on fungal infection.
In the mushroom village of Kyakuya, tthe mayor has a book with every cure for every illness in the game. It's not exactly cheap, but it's worth getting.
- don't use auto explore in fungus biome and or when you reconize sign of fungus (spore ridden mob for exemple)
- Stay away from them, 1 case is enough as they only trigger on agression and on contact
- In fungus biome don't move sideway. Only left / right up / down.
- if you have a semi-decent weapons / strengh start the habit or deforesting manually. Force attack on view blocking stuff to avoid surprise.
- Always carry a vine sap mask or a gas mask
It protect from gas and as far as I'm aware the spores are treated as a gas.
It's not perfect but hey better then nothing ^^
Yah that's big news to me too. Never knew vine sap masks had that utility..
Choosing the beak used to be my go to with mutation builds. Not anymore! Thanks Dr.Desty.
As stated by others, glotrot is caused by drinking, or more likely, being knocked prone in, black ooze. This most often occurs on the bottom level of golgotha. Drinking 5-10 honey immediately, eating (-raw-) yuckwheat, or a number of meals based on same will generally cure it.
