best weight efficient ways to store water/liquids?
so I was looking through my overweighted inventory and noticed that a full camels bladder of water holds 32 drams but weighs 9 while a waterskin holding 64 weighs 17, a empty waterskin weighs 1 same as a waterskin with three drams of water.

A dram is a quarter weight unit, and the usual containers weigh one unit. So Camel Bladders are inefficient due to their low capacity for equal weight.

The best way to carry your "water" around is to exchange your water for precious ores. The more expensive, the better.

No matter what your Ego is, a 1 pound copper ore both buys and sells for 10 drams.

Effectively you can take 100 drams of water, and reduce the weight down to 10lbs if you buy up copper ore. Silver ores are worth 50 and work the same way bringing you down to 2lbs. You can buy gems and ores worth 300 drams all weighing 1 pound. Very useful.

Just save enough to drink!

That's good advice. I came up with the same tactic the other day. I almost died of thirst because I overdid It. Had to walk into a room full of turrets to check if there was water in any of the chests. There was :)

In addition, once you have access to lava, you have the lightest/value currency in the game at your disposal.

If I just barely can't carry stuff that I want to move somewhere, I sometimes reshuffle liquids around -- weight is always rounded down, so 3 water still weights 1, 4 weights 2, 7 weights 2, 8 weghts 3, etc. This is however a rather tedious task so I usually don't bother.

Lol, yep. I've made more than one poorly planned trip through the desert. I don't always make it.

Also I realize the question was for "storing" water. You can drop it anywhere in towns. It will stay there.

If you do carry liquids, try to keep them not quite full. A waterskin with 64 drams weighs 17, while a waterskin with 63 weighs 16. If you are running close to the limit, drinking from any topped off skins can easily net you an extra four pounds of capacity (at the default thirst settings)
