[SOLVED] Giving Companions Weapons/Armor/Etc
I have a beguiled baboon companion that, early on, I traded with and gave him some armor and a sword thinking he may equip them and use them.

Later on I went to trade with him to give him some better gear and noticed the stuff I gave him wasn't in his list of items anymore.

1. Am I not seeing it because he has the items "equipped" or did he just get rid of them?
2. Can you even have a non-human companion equip weapons an armor?
3. Do I have a complete lack of understanding on how giving equipment to companions works?

Thanks in advance

1) The stuff in the companion's trading inventory is separate from the stuff they have equipped. If you (l)ook at them their equipment will be shown at the bottom of the description box. If you give them better gear they will decide on their own what to equip and then you can "give items" again and take back the spares. If you want to decide their gear for them, you will need to dominate them.

2) Armor, yes. Most things will wear body armor, crabs will wear multiple pairs of boots, etc. Weapons usually not because their natural weapons override those slots. Also a creature with horns won't wear a helmet, etc, same as for player mutants.

Not sure why it didn't occur to me to just look at their inventory in the regular "look" interface.

Also, thanks for the info in #2.
