Joppa the town is mad at me, for....

killing a legendary/pink snapjaw (great color coding btw for denoting the most powerful enemies)

While girshling hunting for the first quest @ red rock and heading back via the underground, i ran into and killed 3 legendary snapjaws. I also killed a slumberling that charged at my face, go me.

The last pretty pink snapjaw gave me a reputation ping of -210 Joppa for killing him. Apparently a snapjaw was somehow best mates with Joppa......

I get back to town with the girshling corpse and get attacked by 2 farmers. I run away and they chase me still 3 screens away, being "easy" and a good chance of not losing rep from them not being legendary or a special NPC, i turn around and kill them.

I go back to town and see the preacher and the blue dude is "neutral" with me. I then see the red dude, the quest giver, is "hostile" with me.

So randomly half the town has turned on me and if mr copper wire has also turned then i won't even be able to continue the main quest line?

Sigh, i was just getting to level 10 and getting some good gear and going swimmingly with my build and game in general.

Edit: Guessing there's nothing i can do debug wise either, unlike some other problems.

Because i'm not sure if anything can be done, and that it may take awhile for a response since im in aussie timezone, i decided to use a "some forgotten ruins recoiler" i found while underground.

Thinking on the offchance if this works like i think it does, ill be whisked somewhere far away and that it wont matter if i get wrecked or can't get back :p

I am indeed whisked away to the opposite side of the world (rando ruins near the purple ruins far east) but there was only a couple goatmen and "very tough" slugs.

I kill them and find a chest - in it is a fullerite dagger and fullerite flake armor. In the zone is also not 1, but 2 dromad merchants, selling similar level things as well as floating glowspheres. RIP my 10 Ego.

So now i'm level 10, hated by Joppa, haven't even handed in 2 trinkets for the very first story quest or even done the redrock one, rocking a fullerite dagger (sold the armor due to carapace) and am on the opposite side of the world. I'm also going to be going on a crusade to get back home if the rep thing can be fixed.

10/10 adventure haha.

You can wish "factionrep:Joppa:500" (or whatever number to get back positive) if you just want to debug force positive rep back. Thare are in-game ways to recover rep that I won't spoil.

That is one hell of an adventure. The Wish system can fix the issue if you want to go that route, and you can also wish for a joppa recolider if you really want to "undo" it all.

However I would definitely see where things go. There is nothing better than an epic story, and so far yours sounds pretty awesome.

Thanks guys. I know about raising rep in-game, but that it's hard and veery rng based to raise specific rep if they're hostile and because it's Joppa and i hadn't finished the main storyline quest there yet, it kinda gimped waiting throughout the game on that rng.

I should have been looking at the relations on the legendaries too im aware, but after the first or second i wasn't paying attention and i didn't think it'd be possible to lose rep on the main home town especially from a snapjaw. Wasn't worried about other rep so i didn't care what else was affected.

Either way I continued my adventure while waiting for help and eventually died :p Amongst my crusade back home i found some weeps in a shroom forest - one cider, one fresh water and one screen away one honey. All fresh and full around the entire weep (repeated 2000 drams of fresh water, cider and honey)

I then filled all my waterskins up, ported back to those ruins/nomads and bought a sharp fullerite battle axe, some more waterskins and a cell. I was then lvl 12 or so and rocking a fullerite dagger and sharp fullerite battle axe haha.

I spent literally to the last drop of water, because i can just go fill back up right? Half way there i'm severely dehydrated and almost died - greed is a dangerous thing in these dangerous times. So after wondering what i'm going to do for water out here, i realize i can just port back again and then sold some random stuff for 10 or so water - which still wasn't enough to make it back to the weeps. I ported back again and luckily could sell some more random stuff for 20 drams which was enough.

I got greedy again and wondered if i'd increase my profits filling up with cider instead of just plain old boring worthless water, right? but the cider was full of blobs that i was going to have to carefully clear first. I figured 28 or so Toughness (130 odd hp) and fullerite weapons + sleeping gas - i should be fine. I start hacking through the "tough" blobs with ease then all of a sudden start getting wrecked. I sprint a screen away and try regen but a blob or 2 keep coming.

Those ones are different, flash multicolor and are "very tough" i have to fight these here and now, still half health as a new screen brings new enemies and before long a blue goatman does come at me as well and confuses me while a red one spams his seeds grenades while mortal kombat between me and the blobs continues - but by that time i knew it wasn't long before it was going to be over so i quickly played out the inevitable.

Because i got greedy and wanted to fill my 19 waterskins with cider instead of the water weep that was safe and guaranteed, for extra profits - i died and lost it all haha.

And so this twisted and tormented tale of hate, greed and adventure comes to an end, in a distant land fighting distant creatures while exiled by my own.
