In the entire series only i think 2 male nekopara are depicted. And wild cat girls and boys are supposed to be around just like normal cats infact chocola and vanilla were abandoned in a box as kittens the mc found them during a rain storm nearly dead from exposure and they were nursed back from the brink by the MC...they even were in his futon.

And i dont know about it being a lie. The convience store had medicine for them while they were in heat before and the book he gets does support it not being a lie... But imho it should not be impossible biological compatibility would be there since human dna would have to have been used as a base for making the first ones in a lab like it says in the novel.

Spoilers: Catgirls in nekopara universe are man-made transgenic human-cat hybrids, maybe in the process the catgirls they lose or gain chromosomes, if they do not have the 46 chromosomes that humans have, that is the cause of their genetic incompatibility. or perhaps they are whims of its author. I think that a human-animal hybrid in theory does have a much better chance of being able to reproduce with a human, and as a result they will be children with sterility, like mules and ligers. Even though chimpanzees are "close" to humans, the wartime experiments to create a "planet of the apes" with human-chimp hybrids were all failed attempts. no possible hybrid was ever obtained.
