Patch won't install

I'm not sure what the problem is. I had this installed on my desktop computer and had no problem installing the patch. Now I'm trying to install it on my laptop but when I go to install the patch, I get the error message "NEKOPARA vol.1 were not installed.", even though it is (I even did a test launch of it just to be sure). I put the patch in the game folder itself to run it (same way I did it on my computer). Anyone know what the problem might be?

This applies to both vol.1 and vol.2. The vol.3 patch installed just fine as did vol.4. Only the first 2 aren't cooperating. I got the patches from Denpasoft before the patches themselves became available for purchase on steam and don't see the point in having to buy them again.

No idea why it's not working. But if you can access files on your desktop computer, you should be able to just copy the "adultsonly.xp3" file. Literally all the patch does is add that file. Well, and the ".sig" file too, but I'm not sure if the game even cares about it.

I would've done that except my computer died yesterday so that's why I had to install them on my laptop. I forgot though that I had made a backup of all my steam games (including all my VN's) on my external drive and they already have the patches installed. Sure glad I remembered about that so I don't even have to worry about using the installers. Yay!

For anyone who is having troubles like I did. I believe I have found a solution.

It seems that the denpasoft patch for Vol 1 and 2 tries to look for the game file in C: drive and if it cannot find it it will give you the message of "xxxx not installed" installing the game onto the C: drive and then patching it worked for me. I then shifted the install folder to the drive I wanted it on originally.

You have just to extract the patch in the game folder.

Thank you so much! I installed so much ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like flatpak, protontricks and bottles.
But your solution was so easy and effective.

1. use discover to install peazip
2. open peazip then open the patch18whatever.exe in peazip
3. mark all files
4. extract them into your nekopara folder
if you dont know the folder, just go into steam, go to the game > settings > local files > browse and copy paste the folder tree from there into peazip where it asks you where to put the files

start the game and check in the settings > "effect and sound" if in the lower left corner is the new option "turn H-Animation on"
