How do censored scenes work?

Hey, I just realized recently that the 18+ content DLC was added to Steam and plan to get it.

I was just curious, can anyone tell me how the scenes work in the censored version compared to the R-18 version? Like does the bathing scene even take place or is it completely removed?

Also bonus questions are like can you toggle the 18+ content on and off by unchecking the DLC box in your library for the game I guess? (just curious)

And roughly how many 18+ scenes does it add? Thanks a ton for any answers and help!

The H-scenes are simply skipped in the censored version, but nothing that happens in them is denied. In fact, sometimes, what happens is mentioned briefly, and that mention is left in the censored version. Also, a few CGs outside H-scenes are altered (to hide breasts or not show something that's happening). There's also, like, one or two lines of dialogue that get skipped. Other than that, everything outside H-scenes is unaltered, so you still get the dirty jokes and such.

The way this was designed, there is a single file (adultsonly.xp3) that contains all the 18+ content. When the game starts, if that file is present, you get the 18+ version. If it's absent, you get the all-ages version. So, you can remove the file to change what you see. To my knowledge, that's it. (EDIT: I think unchecking the DLC will indeed revert it to all-ages. I use the non-Steam version of this, so I don't know for sure, but I think that's how it works.) This applies to Vols. 1 and 2. Vol. 0 and Extra only exist as all-ages. Vol. 3 uses a different engine with a different file structure, and I don't know how it works.

And roughly how many 18+ scenes does it add?

Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 each have 3 H-scenes, which are somewhere around 30 mins. to an hour each (depending on how fast you read them, of course). Vol. 3 has 5, although one of them is a bit shorter than usual.
