p.s. you forget the option one can purchase ships from pirates.
I have in the game about 20 hs, not enough to know all its features, howerver, as I remember, to get something of a NPC you need honor or gold. The third condition is a fixed tier which may be as soon as citicien, something that I said is not true in Farkas case, who is still peasant in my game.
My little experience in the game makes me think that the AI is not following the same rules than the player, and can unlock advanced staff, giving them an unfair and no natural advantage over the player. How can I defend my island in the first 2 minutes of game if an agressive AI attacks me?
Earliest warships should relativly quikly been able to get.
Maybe you should first do a game till the end with the easy ai before you play on harder difficulty.
Also guy farkas is the most aggressive ai player from the mid difficulty ai's.
p.s. how long are these "2 minutes" of yours really?
p.s.2. as a tip to a new player Gold income is everything in this game.
Overproduce everything and sell best goods.
Taxes mean very little in this game so a negative balance usually leads to higher income.
And first tier goods are very low profit, first good stable goods to sell are ropes.
However, I really promise to you that he managed to get small warships in peasant level, and tell me if I´m wrong, but this is impossible for a human player, isn´t it? If not, please, tell me how.
Then you can keep track of his civilazation level.
For example there would be a big diffrence if you went out exploring alot before starting your first island while the ai has settled almost immidiatly he could already have reached the second tier.
Your flagship is also stronger then first warships and if you lose it you can buy another one from lord richard for 3000 or so.
Again it can also be a very exceptional case you have here. Ai stays AI.
And another insider all anno ai cheats.
up til 2070 they tried it to act like a normal player as much as possible and they do a pretty decent job in that as well but it stays a programmed ai wich uses parameters do to things not resources.
Would love to play this against actual people but the long gameplay makes it almost impossible to do this.
Well, I haven´t talk about my starting conditions, which can differ from yours a lot. I usually play with a warehouse with basic resources, no ships, 10k gold, so its not an option for me to defend myself with the flagship.
Of course I can change warehouse to fleet, but instead of that I prefer to know if there is a solution or it´s impossible to play against AI harder than Helena with these settings.
By the way, I´m enjoying the game su much as you did, but like you´ve said, the longplay is eternal to consider playing online.
Well, Stylistic, thank you for the answers. It seems that I have to change starting conditions to balance it a bit, since there are settings witch appear to be impossible to me.
It's just a theory but maybe if an ai registrates it has no ships it means he was already being attacked or something...
p.s. english not my main language either and i am far from being a grammer nazi
