Purpuse of the imperial palace.

What does the imperial palace actually do?
It does not give you honour or imrpove your relations towards other players.
It would be nice if it would work the same way like a tournament and increases your honour with the more segments you add. But since it doesnt then what does it do?

Do you actually mean the Manorial palace?

If so then it does nothing, it is only a ornamental building to improve yur city like the Fountain.
But you can get the "A blaze of glory" Achievement if you build 100 ornamental buildings on one island.

Or the "Not everyone has it!" if you build every ornamental building from the bonus content (You have to unlocked them with Gems) in a single game.

shame it is. so expensive to build and maintain yet having no real purpuse :(.

It really is just swag.

You've done it right when you can afford such a structure without it ruining your income.

Plus what Shona said for the achievements, but mostly swag.

Just as Shona has said, you will omly get a achivment from building it, tho if you whant to make your capital look just wow it is also great. yesterday i finally builded my, i think curentlly this one is one of the bigest i builded in anno 1404 venice, spended abaut 565k just to build it and the upkeep cost is abaut 2,2k. if you guys are interested you can join my public groupe for anno 1404 on fb, you can poste pics there or ask anything abaut the game.....

- 16 greathalls
- 19 wings (balcony wings)
- 40 residental wings
- 6 corner wings
- 5 bridge wings
- 3 gatehouses
- 1 manorial palace
