Playing Online not possible?

< I posted accidently first in Anno 1404 History Edition, but used now the discussion section on my game in steam client - so here I am :-)

Is this true??

So everybody is playing through private vpn (LAN). Or they have the Gold Edition??

On my and one other friends PCs we get an error "Upload failed"-popup when creating the online profile (legacy-name + ubisoft / uplay password). Before that error, I could successfully login and even put in my registry key, but since then I receive only this pop up.

Do someone have please inputs, tips?

You have to create a new Profile, something messed with all profiles so it is not possible to play online.

As far as i know Ubisoft can't find a other fix for it

which profile do you mean? The Ubisoft profile or the (offline) profile in-game in Anno?

I created a new ubisoft account without deleting my old one. The new account doesnt have a legacy name and I could create a online profile with it. But when entering Multiplayer section in Anno I need to put in the serial key again. When entering I receive an error "Key already used ...", what is not a surprise. So what do I do now?

Lol the Ingame Profil, you need an Online Profile InGame.

With an Offline Profile InGame you can't play Multiplayer.

Hey there!

Sorry to hear you're having trouble accessing the game's online features!

The game's servers are still online and should still be accessible

If you do create an account, you do need your legacy name to hand, which is by default your current name if it's a new account

As you noted your key was coming up as already in use on your new account, this may be due to the key haven't been used elsewhere before this, which we'd be happy to look into!

Could you please contact us directly via our Support Site[ubi.li] (or you can also reach us on Facebook[ubi.li] and Twitter[ubi.li])

When doing so, could you please including your Ubisoft username or email address as well as the key it is you're trying to use so we can see if this is bound elsewhere already?
