As far as i know Ubisoft can't find a other fix for it
With an Offline Profile InGame you can't play Multiplayer.
Sorry to hear you're having trouble accessing the game's online features!
The game's servers are still online and should still be accessible
If you do create an account, you do need your legacy name to hand, which is by default your current name if it's a new account
As you noted your key was coming up as already in use on your new account, this may be due to the key haven't been used elsewhere before this, which we'd be happy to look into!

When doing so, could you please including your Ubisoft username or email address as well as the key it is you're trying to use so we can see if this is bound elsewhere already?
