After a while it will send you the message that you have to restart the game caused by empty Storage ... And after the message apearce 100 times it will crash.
Its because its an old game and windows 10 makes many problems with older games

Took me 6 month to fix the crashes and write the following guide with solutions

Use the 4Gb Patch from my Guide and you don't get any message. Also it is not a storage issue, it is a RAM ;)

I explained it in my guide, because it is a problem with 32bit executables

I think the game has only once crashed. It just froze at that time. I would say I got 100hrs on this game, on this computer. i7-7800K / gforce 1080 / 16gb ram / windows 10. Plenty more outside of Steam, on older hardware.
Can't say I've encountered any errors.

Hmm...So it's not like some people say that it's always crashing after 1-2 hours?

It is because they don't use the so called "4GB Patch".
Also if you used it, you have to start from scratch. If you would load a savegame before the patch, the game would crash again.

Does the patch work on Windows 10 too?

Sure if not i add a description to the guide how you make the same with CFF Explorer because it isn't really a patch it activates only a function. I explained it in the guide

I solved the message saying the game had become unstable by deleting old savegames.

Anno 2070 runs better than this. Still playable but I had to lower my graphics while 2070 runs fine on max.

I play 1404 Venedig on max settings and had no crash all the time, but 2070 doesnt even start ^^

Hey Shona, your guide is amazing, thank you for everything. Do you reccomend deleting the old savegames?
