Playing and winning the game

I am playing now for more then a year Anno1404. Still on easy level and never winning the game. Either I run out of money all the time or the other player settles all other Islands and I have no resources. Someone help....

What!? More than a year? You need to watch some YouTube videos of how it's done.

Search the videos in that guy's channel and you'll find some good ones. Clearly you're doing something wrong, so you need to stop doing the same thing over and over again.

Learn on single player before jumping into competitive multiplayer. As soon as you get tools unlocked, overproduce them so you can sell them. Rope next - make as much as you can and set up a trade ship to sell all of them to the Orient (he pays more). Next, do the same with carpets, but sell them to Northburg.
