Anno 1404 vs. Anno 1404: Venice

I'm new to the Anno games and have just purchased the Gold edition wich includes Anno 1404 ans Anno 1404: Venice. I've done the Anno 1404 tutorial, and am now wondering which of the two games to spend my time on. What are some pros and cons of each game? Thanks...

Everything from Anno 1404 is in Anno 1404 Venice except thr campaign from the main game. So it doesn't matter which game you play.

The scenarios from the main game are under the scenarios in Venice under, i think, "Classic Missions". The difference is only you have the venice stuff in the missions.

Also it is one game ;) Venice is only a Addon for Anno 1404, you can't play it without having the main game.

Shona, thanks for explaining. Can we visit Venice from within the regular Anno 1404? Or do we have to open the Venice addon and play that separately?

You should only ever open the original Anno to play through the campaign, once you have done this you should always open up Venice as its got all the features of the base game plus a heap of improvements.

There is also an unofficial patch out there that fixes a ton of stuff as well which is worth using.
