Tool-Making Problem

I have all the right buildings built and connected but for some reason the stone will not go to the iron smelter. Stone storage is maxed, roads connect all the buildings, and coal goes to the smelter fine; just not stone.

Why should the stone go to the iron smelter?
It needs iron ore from a iron mine and coal to make iron and this goes to the toolmaker's workshops

Mind you, the setting is Late Medieval. Not Stone Age.

Ugh! You're right. I built an iron smelter next to the iron mine, not the ore mine. Then thought that icon meant stone when it meant iron. I need more sleep in my life. Thank you, Shona.

I have a similar problem. I have a toolmaker, connected to a warehouse and to an iron mine, yet no coals is transported there, even though there is plenty in the warehouse...

I figured it out. The toolmaker was green when I clicked on the warehouse (within range of the warehouse), but the warehouse wasn't green when I clicked on the toolmaker (so outside of range of the toolmaker). I've experienced this problem over andover again and only now figured out the solution.
