Always has been this way.
Anno 1602 & 1503 was developed from Max Designs (Austria) and Sunflowsers (Germany) Related Designs is developing Anno since 1701 to 2070
Anno 2205 is the first Anno under Blue Byte
Developer history of Anno :D
In 2001 Ubisoft bought Blue Byte, which are known for "The Settler"-Series.
In 2007 Ubisoft bought Sunflowers and with it 30% of Related Designs, in 2013 UBI bought the last 70% of Related Design.
Since 2014 Related Designs is part of Blue Byte and they changed the name from Related Designs to Blue Byte Mainz
So yes the "Anno"-Series is developed completly in germany also as the "The Settler"-Series. If you wanna know which developer is also from germany you can find a list here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Video_game_companies_of_Germany
The Settlers (Die Siedler) and Anno/Dawn of Discovery (Anno) are not related to each other in terms of game series.
What I mean with that: The Settlers and Anno are two different Franchises, much like Mario and Pokemon are two different Franchises.
But since you wrote "Die Siedler" i think you are german, so i translate it for your!
English: "In 2001 Ubisoft bought Blue Byte, which is known for "The Settler"-Series. "
German: "Im Jahr 2001 kaufte Ubisoft Blue Byte, welche für "Die Siedler"-Serie bekannt sind.
If you need a other translation please let me know.
Only people which are not able to read proper english would interpretate to it....
Translated: "Ja, die Anno-Reihe wurde in Deutschland entwickelt, genauso wie die "Die Siedler"-Reihe"
So why should someone interpretate it so wrong as you did?
You know what "Franchise" means?
Franchise means that a game is part of a brand/franchise...Since "Anno" is a brand/franchise and "The Settler" is a other brand/franchise, why should someone think that two different brands/franchises are releated to each other?
Only because they are both developed in germany? Are you kidding me?
YOu know what? I got better to do than discussing with people which don't want to improve in any way. Have a nice day.
You are the ONLY one which read something which isn't there. So yeah have a nice day and please stop talking crap here....
Yes, it is German. BlueByte studios...
A new studio was even founded this year in Berlin...
