What exactly is the story? Please give spoilers

I’m just really confused by the story of this game. Did he kill both the girls? Is he the mouse guy? WHO is the mouse guy? Why did two people throw themselves off the roof? Who’s the creepy looking ghost and where do they come in? I’m so lost

So basically the Dad cannot deal with the fact his wife has divorced him and taken their only child with her (the girl we believe to be dead at the start) we later find out, she was never dead, and we actually kidnapped another girl that looked just like her - and while she was in our care, she died. Our custody arrangement with our ex-wife involved our daughter coming to the Dad's house on weekends - where she found the body of the girl the Dad kidnapped. She ratted out her dad lol the end

To add to this- in the apartment the mascot is seen wearing womens business attire, with long hair sticking out, merging the daughters toy she loves the most and the person she spends the most time with. The daughter spends all her time playing with her beloved toy when she's at dads house and when she's not at dads house, she's at mums.

I thought this was a cool thought to have loose ends meet together story wise!
