Invisible military units

Pretty much. Peasants look fine, but musketeers and pikemen are invisible. I didnt checked more units because simply i dont care. Im not gonna play if something like this occurs. Not sure if other units and buildings have this problem too. I want the game i always played and worked. Idk what kind of changes this game could have needed in the past 5 years but are non needed neither asked by anyone. I should be able to pick to play older versions. Yeah, i think i will download older cracked versions of the game because this is ridiculous.

Also, i cant use the SSAO (i think that was) setting. It makes horrible graphical bugs. I dont care tho, i can play without it. But seriously?
Ah, also, peasants have no shadows. Again, something i can live with but... come on. WTF is wrong with this game.

So, i tried again and, the campaign seemed to work fine, so i tested a random map. When it loaded it gave an error of "insuficent memory" or something like that but the game started anyway. Peasants had shadows and barrack units had bodied again, but, they dont have animations!
Then i restarted and tried again. Units have all bodies, barrack units too. But no one has shadows. I guess thats fine? damn it.

I thought i was alone with this, but I have the same bugs! I have an AMD 6600XT. The game worked fine on my old 760GTX before, wich is way weaker. I think I tryed pretty much everything in the settings, but I can´t find a solution.

I tryed even more settings so far and something i found out is that disabling texture-filters seems to somehow affect the problem. Also when I load a saved game things are a little less worse. Not a solution, but maybe someone understands more about computers than i do and can figure out what the problem is, with this information.

Have this issue with a 6900xt.
If you turn off Shadows in general and enter the editor or match it will work.
Then enable shadow again.
Units disappear and Windmill usually doesnt spin or has missing texture for me.

Kinda sad cause i wanted to play this game again after a few years....
No idea if AMD provides an option that might fix this , i run driver only right now.

The only thing I understood from your post is that you have an AMD GPU.

If you haven't checked the negative reviews for this game or the tech discussions on this game here on steam, you should - you are not alone.

You can try to turn off shadow mapping before starting the game via the config. this will eliminate any shadows in the game but it can help with this issue.
