Skrimish Mode?

I have bought the digital deluxe at launch and so far im loving the game. Almost finished all the campaigns too but there isnt much replayability. Im ok with the bugs and stuff, as long as im enjoying the game.

I havent played the old Cossacks games but an RTS game should have a skrimish mode. Random Maps is probably the worst mode ive seen in this genre, the whole idea doesnt make sense because every RTS game (that I remember) has a skrimish mode. Sometimes I spawn way too close to the enemy's castle/base. Maybe in future the devs will add a proper skrimish mode and not some RNG mode. So my question is, will there be any kind of custom game mode or skrimish mode? Also maybe implement steam workshop.

wait for the workshop i imagine there will be aload of mods comming to add more depth to it.

random maps is the skirmish mode you can play several versions 3 on 3 1 0n 1 allies vs you. i dont see what you are complaining about.

I used to think skirmish was the same as random map. Did you mean that you can't choose from pre-made maps? Currently you cannot set any map sizes.

Pre made maps give players some balance and fairness, like i said, the random map mode is so random they place your base in the middle of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ map between enemies while your allies are somewhere else not even close to you. Theres a chance for you to spawn in one side of the map while your totally cut off from your allies between enemy castles. RTS games from the 90s had this option.

Um Random map is skmirsh mode. It's exactly the same as skmirsh in most other RTS games. You pick your nation, pick how many nations are on a map set allies and fight... That is skirmish mode.

Once the editor is complete there will be plenty of maps on steam workshop. The devs are not going to waste time on pre-made maps when the random map is just fine. Sure they can add more options in future, but no one will make better maps than a community.

It would be great if there are maps that can accommodate all 20 plus factions. unless programing limitations will prevent it
