u dont even know why is it that way...
I beg to differ in regards to it being a "learn to play issue" sir and there is need to be somewhat snarky lol. I know how to play and have played all the Cossacks games before and am fully aware that each cannon shot takes up resources. However, the fact that they take up resources is no excuse to not at least give the player the option to have an auto fire function that can either be turned off or on.
When I am throwing 1500-2500 units into a battle I am focused on getting everyone into line and finding a flank and it is simply irritating that I have to continuously babysit my artillery after EVERY DAMNED SHOT! If you put your artillery in a location amongst your line that has a clear field of fire, what is the purpose of having to micro the crap out of it? What tactical element lies in this? If they can auto fire and they do so and hit friendly forces this is on me and heightens the experience by making sure I'm in formation or elevated etc etc. This game is about positioning and the ebb and flow of a Napoleonic battle line, but with the way artillery is functioning now it is pretty pointless outside of static siege situations.
Regardless, if there is a simple option to turn auto fire on/off for artillery then this is remedied and will do so without impacting the balance of the game. Explain how this would be a bad thing?
artilerry is basicly the only unit u need to micro manage and its very easy
u might need to play turnbased rts instead of rts
btw if autofire would be on u would be killed by ur own artillery and u would cry about it on forums, "game is bugged"
also artilery and ships use massive resources too when firing, being them on auto is bad idea again
It's easy to fix and is one of the things I changed in my WIP mod.
For those that don't want it, just use the disable fire button, no need to hate (unless you're a troll).

No use in using it in multiplayer, it will just desync it, I've tried. I even have proof in my screenshots of the game.
Enjoy!
so exactly there, where you get out of control, there is the golden "apm key" saving your day. thats kinda catchy.
so independend of what devs can and cant as we see, its still "fair" on BOTH sides is a sinkhole... not only YOU. and hence its valid game; (which you can discuss for ALL games...)
