Spanish Coseletes are OP

The Spanish Coseletes have superior stats to any other troop. I've tried countering them in the Editor and in real time games (10pt, fast speed) and couldn't find out how to counter them. All of their resistances + high health make a good counter to Austrian Roundshileds, and an unimaginably good counter to Scotland, Turkey and Algeria. Ukraine isn't any good either.

How do you counter the Coseletes in fast, small PT games?

Outplay your enemy, get mercenary greandiers and let your pikes soak up the damage. And if you do go for that do amke use of the stand ground bonus if you can and the first firerate upgrade will help alot aswell. But this is with DC on this is also why i dont like people putting it off because it ruins the balance pretty much. Check out my strategy guide if your intrested. enjoy

Crazy Idea incoming: but have you tried mixing in 17th C Musketeers with your pike formation and putting them in actual squads? 17th C muskets are crazy viable now.

Cossacks 3 isn't balanced with around nor having a diplomatic centre as I know off, without it countries do have mayor weaknesses which I wouldn'trrecommen. OIn the other hand cavalry dues probably have good chances against tthem and do note you got a healing tech in the university.

Yes, but I assumed that all pikemen should be able to tie, or be close to doing so. No nation, by my opinion, should invest more into it's military just to tie with a county that has more powerful, yet still cheap and effective pikemen. The spam just works too well for Spain early game, and I couldn't find any other way to defeat Spain other than playing as Spain, or investing more into the army than my opponent just to tie out.
