Pretty much, yes. Even if Russia makes 3 barracks from the get go and spews up pikemen, spain will still win with just two barracks. Mathematicaly doesn't add up. 10 Coseletes/15 Russian Pikemen and Spain will still win.
Yes, but I assumed that all pikemen should be able to tie, or be close to doing so. No nation, by my opinion, should invest more into it's military just to tie with a county that has more powerful, yet still cheap and effective pikemen. The spam just works too well for Spain early game, and I couldn't find any other way to defeat Spain other than playing as Spain, or investing more into the army than my opponent just to tie out.
