Swiss Jaeger
Seems to have higher range than general 18c musketeer.. Did anyone check if he has the same range as Chasseur?(cannot recall the unit stats file location)

Idk about range but I think it's damage is one of the highest of all of the skirmishers.

It's health is also the lowest tho, I recommend using them behind a wall of Armored Pikemen.

In a 1v1 fight against 1 Highlander it's a 50/50 chance the Jaeger wins since the Highlander has the most health out of all of the Skirmishers, provided he doesn't get headshot before moving into range that is.

But yes, the Jaeger outranges the Higlander.

And a Jaeger formation will lose to a Highlander formation because the Highlander formation can take more damage than the Jaeger formation can dish out and still go in range and shoot the Jaegers.

So again, keep them protected, they will act as Snipers/Sharpshooters more than anything, long range, high damage but very, very, extremely fragile.

Jaeger has definetly the biggest range of fire in the game, it's visible even with the bare eye.

Has anyone tested them against Chasseurs and Serdiuks?(all units fully upgraded)

No, I only tested them in the editor in their un-upgraded variants against the Highlanders.

It was late night and didn't have more time for more tests, sorry.

The Jäger has a range of 1200, compared to 1050 of the Chasseur, which leaves about one formation man-space between their max ranges. Standard 18th c. Musketeers, Grens and Dragoons have 900 max range each. This unit has indeed the highest non-artillery firing range in the game.
The reload and training time is pretty high, though.

It has the same range the tatar has in that case, pretty neat for a musquet unit.

Tatar has 1200 range? Didnt know.. it seems too much.

Tatar had the longest range for a soldier in Cossacks 1 and 3, but being archer they aren't really precise, at most you would be able to hit and run against infantry, they still deal massive dommage to large groups of ennemy. That's why they are usually backed up by janissary.

Ok, shame the range is not in game in unit stats I didnt use them because I didnt know about the range.

Tatars used to have the highest range in Cossacks 1. In Cossacks 3 they have a range of 1100, so they can still be used in the later game against big infantry formations, as they don't have much arrow protection.
