Austria's roundshiers are meant for quick rushes or responses, they're not superior to pikes. Pikes are superior when in numbers and when upgraded.
Prussia has the best 18th century musketeer in game but also has a good Grenadier, perhaps the best in the game I'm not really sure, but it's probably close to that.
You also forgot to mention that Denmark has a pretty unique 18th Century Muskteer that can throw grenades and is close in terms of stats to the Prussian one.
Also, Austria and Spain's 17th Muskteers are not weak, they just require setup compared to other nations which make them slower, but they're better armored. Netherlands' 17th Century musketeers are the fastest firing unit in the game.
Switzerland, Hungary, Austria and France because they do have really good options to do well from the beginning till the end.
I did also mafe a video about it a few minutes ago so people can learn from it I'm a fairly experienced Cossacks 3 player.
Some things just sound good in theory but won't go well in an actual battle.
Hey, everything apart from my Switzerland/Hungary notes is from past experience.
But as far my notes for the Jaegers and Highlanders, it was tested in the editor in 1v1 and 196 vs 196 formation battles.
