Does this game not save my progress?
Had to close the game during the 2nd screen. Game dumped me right at the beginning after running it again. Does it save later on or does it lack saves completely?

Nevermind.
For anyone wondering the same, the game saves at the end of each day, which is on a timer. However, you can force-end the day at specific revisitable points.
