Do we need activation code after buying the game on steam?

when the download was complete and i launched the it asked me for activation code to link the game to my account. If activation code is required where can I find?

Kinda. There is Standard CD Key DLC. You can launch it from steamdb. It opens UConnect and if you link steam account to ubisoft account it activate game.
