Dead? edit: seems like yes

Last update was in December of 2015, that's 4 months ago. Is the game officially dead?

EDIT: apparently it's not dead and big update is coming soon!

The last time I heard, they were saying that they're working on a pretty major update. And we haven't heard from them since then. Wait for 2 months or so. If there's still no activity, it will officially be dead I guess.

(hey Raibatsu) yeah i think its safe to assume it's dead. if there is enough interest in the future or the Devs have a change of heart it may be completed but i doubt it.

Greetings, both I and Raibatsu are community moderators of Storm United and I can assure you that at this moment the game is not dead as of yet. A recent twitter post by PixelBeam states: "We plan 2016 to be a HUGE year for Storm United, we look forward to all the future updates this year! #gamedev"
To add onto this, I have been notified by PixelBeam that they are currently doing a few office reworks here and there, replacing and hiring eomployees, acquiring equipment etc.
Let's just be patient for an outcome, apologies for the long silence :D

I don't mind waiting. The game said the word "alpha" when I bought it, so I'm not the least bit concerned if devs want to turtle in their dimly lit IDE, obssively recompiling the game to perfection.

I am not exactly sure. But this is not the first time they've gone completely silent for a short while to do some back end work. I'd say don't worry about it. Give them some time and they'll be right back on track!

Hmm I agree on it as well. Give them some time. They must be doing some kind of BIG work like completely changing the mechanics of the game and adding major weapons or things like that. Who knows, maybe they're working on bots or something as well, since the community's asking for the bots so much!

Let them have their space and make a game that we want them to make.

Can we get a official line of text please? It's sorta depressing being in the dark for months. A simple "Hello, we are doing X and not dead" would be really helpful.

Yes, the devs are planning to post an official announcement soon to get everything out in the clear :)

Okay, Storm and I contacted the devs. They replied and we can assure you. They're working on something really BIG. The announcement will be here in a month or two. They have been real busy with lots of stuff and haven't had the time to join the Society. The game isn't dead.

Hmm, I haven't had this problem. Have you tried Verifying Integrity and Restarting your PC? Just saying, it might help.
If not, feel free to add me. Maybe we can work out a fix. ^^

I've been getting that recently too. I think it might be specific to certain servers.

The problem which occurs when you start the game:
You can see fire and a box with "Authentication" written on it, but this authentication seems to go on forever and ever.
