CHAPTER 4 IS DELAYED AGAIN!

But it is comming March 12th, so 51 days left :(

I have a theory that Chapter 4 isn't coming this month, they might release it on April 4th AKA Easter because it could be the perfect day to be released and Lucky's a rabbit after all. I wonder if they will add a Easter bunny skin for him in Monsters and Mortals.

Because they keep hyping it up. If they didn't keep hyping it up then I wouldn't be like this. I used to love Glowstick Entertainment because they were the reason why I even started game development.

But now this is happening. It just makes me lose hope because it's JUST like Cyberpunk 2077! "Hey, this game is coming out!" "Sorry, it got delayed..." "Sorry, it got delayed again... and again... and again..."

And the delay wasn't even worth it for Cyberpunk 2077. I'm just afraid Chapter 4 will suffer the same fate. Sure, this game is great, but it's just another Pac-Man. I don't want to wait for 3 years for a single chapter to have a Pac-Man experience with... *ahem*, additional mechanics and ultra high quality graphics.

And besides, not everyone has the money to just go and buy whatever games they want or do whatever they want. Perhaps they only have this game alongside a couple other games but really love this game for whatever reason they might have.

Also this is a different fan base. Not EVERY person is the same. Companies do things differently that may or may not upset fans. Maybe they had better reasons, worse reasons, etc. etc.

I'm also afraid that Vince is turning the company into a cash grab. Merchandise, DLCs, partnerships... It just doesn't scream "good things" in my ear. And I don't want to see a company I used to love turn into a cash grab.

Oh, and Geometry Dash has like workshops n' all that good stuff. If I was able to make my own levels, monsters, etc. etc. in Dark Deception, then I think I, alongside everyone else, would be content for a while longer.

Those are exactly my thoughts, they kept setting release dates since mid 2019. I would have been fine if they did not keep doing that, all they really have to do is reassure us that the game is still in development.

They keep pushing the dates back because they keep bringing on additional projects without actually finishing the one they are working on. They got popular off this game and using it for merchandise sales.

I don't mind if they keep pushing the dates back, for now we know we are waiting for Chapter 4 final trailer, then we wait for it to come out. I don't mind waiting, but maybe not for Chapter 5.

On their twitter they announced the release date of their next 'Challenger' for monsters and mortals, talking about The Broken Mask... but still not a peep about 'Dark Deception Chapter 4' which we've been waiting for for over 2 years.

Near the end of April, people have been saying they'd release in April, mid April, near the end of April... and so far... nothing.

How would a small indie developer working on another game at the same time not effect the release times? They're not a massive publisher that has multiple teams working on a load of different projects separate from each other.

I mean that makes the most sense. I wouldn't say they're stringing people along or delaying the chapter intentionally. Speaking from experience, you can plan out a project all you want but it's never going to go exactly as you planned it. idk how many people are working on DD but if it's a small team I'd rather they take all the time they need instead of rushing to get it out. Trust me, it's most likely a good thing it's been delayed again.

the only problem with this, is that they promised it in march, then suddenly they had to delay it because of 'Silent Hill' partnership deal for Monsters and Mortals.

This was sudden, but after a while we accepted it...

then they released more M&M dlc, i think 'also' silent hill, again this was related so we got over it, but now they released 'UK Content Creators' for monsters and mortals

i understand wanting to thank those who make your games popular, but M&M which originally (To my knowledge) started out as a spinoff game to the 'main' game being Dark Deception, its getting more and more attention and updates then the actual main game now.

i honestly would not mind, if they just said 'something' saying its coming, or at least said 'hey, keep an eye out this month for the next chapter trailer' at least to show us that they 'haven't' forgotten it...

i believe someone said and quoted 'Vince' from their live q and a saying that the trailer would come out in April, and its approaching hte middle of 'may' and still no new trailer for chapter 4.

there's delaying something for polish and then there's delaying something because of another game partnership deal and then goin radio silent about your delay.

heck the 'fan games' of DD, are getting to the point where we're making our own chapter 4s to fill the void.
