is this game worth it?
i played the demo and i liked it but it literally took me 9min to finish it and i dont wanna pay 16euro for 2h gameplay and the second thing ive read some negative reviews and discussions and the devs act like a 3yo child if smthg say about a bug or smthg

Also I was once looking at DD Complete on the store page because it was on sale and I was curious (steam summer sale, 80% off) and there was a negative review with 0.0 hours in the game which spewed lies and BS and it was funny to see the devs comment on that.

He actually has less mechanics than The Clowns, which is ironic since he's an all powerful being.

Maybe because he gets weaker the more ring pieces you get.

It probably means that the monster might be an ancient Ruins esc Guardian or something, but I generally have no idea on what it is.

It would be nice seeing him do more, especially due to how all powerful they make him out to be.

Well we do know he will have a bigger role in Ch.4 and especially Ch.5 since there is a cut OST titled "Malaks Lair"

CC is exactly the same. No new mechanics and the same exact boss fight, which resulted disappointing, as the clowns are so far the only enemies (except for the monkeys which is fair since they're the first ones) that don't have special abilities other than running. Then again there's no difficulty curve there, as this level should be harder than DD.
Agreed.
For an enhancement its quite bare bones.
I guess the dev's really didn't like clowns.
CC was already pretty good before the enhancement so it didn't change a lot

It is far more common to die in DD due to The Watcher's AI and the immense amount of traps and dangerous rooms that they could try and corner you in.
The Clowns kinda just...... wander around until they bump into you and immediately lose interest if you turn a single corner.

And yes, the whole "Monster = power" thing is confusing at best. Agatha gives you teleport, but that is the only 1 that makes sense. They should not have used this system so they could have more freedom in what the monsters did.

Also, Iv'e thought of a rework for The Clowns:

Instead of splitting off like they usually do, they stay in their respective groups at all times and try and corner you when in multiple different hallways at once.

They can also combine with each other to get to the player faster, for example: If the player were to go up a floor in zone 2, A group could pass by and attempt to build a clown ladder to reach you. Or if you gain enough distance they could try and catapult each other from a distance.

The "Monster = power" only makes sense with Agatha, and probably the nurses. I still don't know who started that idea.
The clowns should have a long range kind of attack. I thought of something like a paralytic power. For example, if you're running from one of them on a straight line, the clown would try to paralyze you with telekinetic powers, and the only way to avoid that is by taking a turn. If someone here played Monstrum you should know what I'm talking about.

Monkeys' rage = Speed Boost
Agatha's teleportation = Teleportation
Gold Watchers' ability to always know where player is = Telepathy
Duckies being able to stun the player = Primal Fear
Clowns attracting other clowns to themselves when they notice the player = Telekinesis
Nurses being able to become invisible = Vanish

It was literally one of the more boring levels in the game that didn't (and still doesn't despite said enhancement) introduce a whole lot to the game.

Iv'e already explained why, but even if you think its good. You still have to admit that there could of been more to it.

Well it had pretty good graphics, not too easy and too hard gameplay and a bossfight, so there were basically only graphic improvements (and other small things like a clown in the cart trap, the zone 2 pillar rooms spinning, Goliaths destroying game booths when smashing with their fists etc. that made the level a bit more cool)

  • Agatha makes sense.

  • Gold Watchers may know where the player is at all times, but so did the Monkeys to an extend. And that isn't The Watchers main mechanic, its freezing in place if you look at them.

  • Duckies make sense, but why did the dev's name the power "Primal Fear" when it doesn't scare enemies?

  • That's not what telekinesis is, its using psychic abilities to levitate or control objects like metal for example. The Clown's work as a sort of Telepathy hive mind for each corresponding group.

  • Nurses make sense, yet I still don't know why they can vanish.

Like when someone rages, they can become stronger and also faster (also when Monkeys are far from the player they just walk slowly, and when they find the player, they start running (boosting their speed)).

Monkeys just aimlessly wander around the location when they are far from player and start fully chasing him when he's close, so I'd give the Telepathy power to Watchers.

Basically you could say that enemies get stunned from fear (like when people can just stand and do nothing because they are too scared). Or it's just a cooler name than just "Stun".

Telekinesis power will be able to attract soul shards at distances, and with clowns you can say that the one who notices the player "attracts" other clowns to himself, basically the concept of DD Telekinesis
