is this game worth it?

i played the demo and i liked it but it literally took me 9min to finish it and i dont wanna pay 16euro for 2h gameplay and the second thing ive read some negative reviews and discussions and the devs act like a 3yo child if smthg say about a bug or smthg

It always depends on if a game is worth it. I personally would recommend the game just because it’s pretty fun, I have around 20hr in game and I really have no idea how long the game really is. The game itself (right now) can become quite hard, but that will be changed when chapter 4 releases. I would buy the game if I were you in a sale and wait till chapter 4 comes out because it will add bosses and better visuals in the older levels. Most negative reviews are about the delays of chapter 4 which were because Vince livings the main developer of the game made a mistake by giving a guessed date of when it will be released which was taken way too serious. Which resulted in a lot of hate to the devs. Then those people made negative reviews on the game just because the game got delayed by a lot. Because the devs wanted to make chapter 4 even better.

ye i understand that a game is delayed sometimes the thing is the devs call everyone who is not on their side toxic fans and at everyone who have a problem on performance they always say is their pc not the game and is kinda hard to think is not the game when u have hundreds of reports

Most of the bugs are fixed when chapter 4 is released they cant fix them on this version because it will spoil chapter 4 (because the files would be in the game files).

Secondly keep in mind that they are a indie developer team. And they might take some reviews a bit too personal. They do get a lot of unfair hate which results into making it hard to find the actual constructive criticisms.

this game is very worthit it wont be 2hr gameplay due to the difficulty of later levels and s rank and chapter 4 which is coming soon it is 100% worthit (this depends if you like the game)

I would recommend this game. Buy DD Complete since right now it is on sale for 20% off. Also when Ch.4 is out there will be changes to the earlier levels. So Monkey Business and Deadly Decadence will be easier to deal with ONTOP of the new checkpoint system so if u have 10 shards left on a game over and you click on last checkpoint, you only need to get those 10 shards. Game is really fun, especially if you try to 100% it.

Also I was once looking at DD Complete on the store page because it was on sale and I was curious (steam summer sale, 80% off) and there was a negative review with 0.0 hours in the game which spewed lies and BS and it was funny to see the devs comment on that.

The quality varies between chapters and there is no real difficulty curve.
As others mentioned the enhanced version will tweak things but its not that noteworthy.

If you like Pacman and you like tame horror then you may enjoy this game. But keep in mind that the enemies don't vary that much, they may introduce 1 new mechanic and so on but its only noticeable in a few levels.

The difficulty curve will be adjusted when Ch.4 is out. Right now the curve goes up and down in each level, which the devs decided to fix up and make it always go up in Ch.4 and 5.
Whenever you decide to purchase it feel free to take advantage of the steam sale right now.

Game itself is definitely worth it, but maybe not right now. An improved version, which is referred to as 'enhanced version' is coming out soon, so I'd recommend you to wait for that and then give it a try.
