Chapter 4 is a bug filled mess

Chapter 4 is wayyyyy too buggy. Currently, I'm at the boss for the Joy Joy Gang, and I'm stuck down at the lava, and I cannot die. The nurse chapter was filled with so much bugs, it took a whole night to finish. I assume I'll have to restart the Joy Joy chapter. This is such a disappointment.

quit to title on the joyjoy level, i had the same issue, restart restarts the whole level, quitting returns to checkpoint

I tried that, thanks. It's just still so buggy. I've now defeated the boss, and my game crashed and I can't load it again. This is the most buggy experience I've ever had.

It is a bug filled mess indeed, but Glowstick themselves commented on my review saying that any bugs are due to having a low-end PC. They refuse to take responsibility for the situation AND BLAME US for the game not working correctly despite rolling out two bug patches overnight in an attempt to solve the bugs and glitches that they are saying don't even exist. Ridiculous, really.

Agreed.
They just rolled out what seems to be their third patch since release and people are saying things are still broken.

Agreed.
They just rolled out what seems to be their third patch since release and people are saying things are still broken.

Vince did some tweets. Other the next couple days will be more patches. Part of it is old PCs and hardware, other are bugs that happen to some people and they'll fix what they can.

Spoiler alert! I talk about the entirety of chapter 4 here.
I missed the original problems, because the premiere was late at night and I was asleep. When I played around 8 hours after release. I still found a lot of bugs.
I entered the place reaper nurse takes you before I even talked to her. I managed to block the reaper nurse, when she's checking your vitals. My game crashed on the matron fight. The joy joy land went pretty smooth, although I was able to teleport through the door and wait the 2 minutes there in second joykill fight. Bearly buried drove me insane. At first, one of the bears was always awake. I don't know if that's intended, but it was SOOO hard manipulating that bear to not catch me without sprinting. Zone 2 was okay. But zone 3... I died around 50 times in there. At first, it was my fault. I didn't know where to find the ring piece. But then, I found it and the gate didn't open. I spent so much time getting the same ring piece over and over again, until I looked up a video and found out you only need 1 ring piece. I had to do the whole zone again and then it mercifully worked. Also, the subtitles weren't working at all. When I watched others play the game, I noticed a few more bugs (they played right after release though). After driving on the ambulance a deafening sound played every 10 seconds. Walking on the lava during joykill fight. And ALL THE BEARS BEING UP IN THE CABIN. ALL OF THEM. I would also like to mention that I had to quit to main menu a couple of times during malak's journey for our memories, because when you miss a pill, you can't see anything at all and you are stuck unless you somehow find the next pill. I hope they fix it as soon as possible. I don't want to deal with that when I'm trying to get S ranks. Also the difficulty is really weird. Thorment therapy is really hard, then joy joy land is chaotic, yet quite easy and the you have the cursed nightmare called bearly buried.

As why I can't stand the company. Vince is a pretty selfish and greedy person. My PC is amazing and works great, this game is just a glitchy mess. I had to reboot the Joy Joy Chapter because of glitches, surviving the push from Killjoy and just chilling in the lava.

The nurse zone needs the most fixing. I feel like the Joy Joy level was pretty good, but that third zone needs fixing along with the boss and the "survive for two minutes" part.

No game launches completely bug-free, but I wish they'd take at least a little responsibility for it. Levels being slow CAN be because of a low-end PC, but sometimes it actually is a bug in the game. It feels insulting to be accused of having a "potato PC" whenever your game crashes.

Well obviously, but there's a difference between a few bugs and a pretty much unplayable game. I've owned every console (older ones too, but recently PS4, Xbox 1, Switch, and PC) and I've NEVER played a game this bad. I would say that it could just be me, but from what I've seen, that is very much so not the case.

And yeah, the fact that Vince is not owning up to his mistakes and instead blaming us is a really awful thing to do. Like, that's something Yandere Dev would do, it's just horrid and now makes me not like Vince at all, he just seems so full of himself and greedy, especially because of all the time he took off working on chapter 4 to make merch and other youtube videos to make more money. He just really likes the money, is what myself and others have come up with. NO ONE should insult their audience unless it's justified. He's insulting us, saying everyone that plays his games has a terrible computer. I've watched two youtubers play it so far and they both got glitches, so I doubt the glitches are caused by a terrible computer, but rather at the fact that they slacked and no one tested the game.

He isn't fully blaming you, just that most of the time he gets that it's usually a low PC. If it isn't and common he'll get to it with Nikson. For now if it's bothering you report the bug if it hasn't already on there discord server or Email and then wait.

This is my stance right now. Subnautica had a ton of bugs but people still paid for that in its unfinished release. We kinda have to accept that an unfinished game by an Indie dev is gonna be hella buggy. BUT Vince needs to be mature here and realize that it isn't just the hardware for every issue. Both can be true.
