Ch.5 is currently just 2021 until they give an exact date. It might not get one until later because Ch.5 is big as if not bigger than Ch.4
As for the release date, 2024. They wanted to squeeze it into December but, decided to push it to 2024 (I assume to not force crunch time)
When they teased DD mp, I think the majority of people thought of a simple, optional game mode for this game that was just DD but co op vs AI monsters in a bigger map or something. Maybe even randomly generated to keep things fresh with a different combination of enemies and hazards (If doable with the scope of it).
That's what the devs should of done from the start, not try and make it into the Next Big Thing since DBD through cramming a horrific amount of dlcs and crossovers into it. It became less of a DD mp and more of a smash bros clone with horror coating (With the exception of YS, why did they choose this at all?) with and overabundance of DLC that (as far as I'm aware) wasn't outsourced to another studio to make them.
Tbh, small team of 3 people and they seemed to have given up on MAM at this point which is for the best and I don't blame them one bit. Ch. 5 will come out when it'll come out I guess.
