Idea for Monkey business
I have gotten S rank in all of the current levels and i have to say the hardest i think in general to play is monkey business. Because of it being the very first level in the game i think it should be slightly easier. Do not make it like it used to be when the monkey's had bad AI's or anything but make it easier somehow. Maybe slow them down a little? I have no idea but if this is what players will be introduced too i think it should be slightly easier.

Before you get swamped by responses of "git gud" or tips that don't seem to work in practice, I just want you to know I agree with you on this one.

Thank you and for those that want me to "git gud" i have gotten S rank on everything.

I agree, I still find it a difficult challenge to S rank it because the monkeys block you off on corners alot and unless you replay it to S rank it with the speed boost and teleport it still is difficult.

I think its mostly fine so lets not get ahead of ourselves. I have no idea how to make them more fair but maybe if they were 10% slower or something.

I can easily get an S rank in every level xept the first one. The levels unfair because the monkeys move randomly when you get the distance. And you cant prevent them from cornering you unless you re lucky. Ive seen loads of you tubers not being able to beat it and giving up. Its a TERRIBLE and frustrating experience for a first level. The creator should remove the mechanic where the monkeys walk randomly and keep chasing you so that you can predict when they come from and strategise

Nothing in this game is random and the monkeys ai is made so it tries to corner you. As intimidating as that sounds, thats ALL it does and while the level is unfair because of the monkeys speed, I dont think their ai is too smart. Just decrease there speed so that they are not CONSTANTLY about to cut you off. I can safely say I can in 1 shot get all S ranks besides monkey business which takes me dozens of times because of how fast they can cut you off simply because of there movement speed.

Same goes for me... i already tried that. Even if i can figure out a strategy its still too difficult for a first level. The monkeys DO move randomly if you get distance. And theres always a chance of them cornering you no matter what strategy you have. I agree with you. Im an expert S ranker too and nothing in this game is random. Everything is strategy based. So thats why the first level should not be luck based.

I get what you said but i believe its unfair because of the monkeys moving randomly when you get distance (just like the clowns when they lose you). If you cant predict where they re coming from then you cant avoid being cornered. Trust me on this one. Ive studied the level very well. Its not because of their speed. In order to avoid being cornered you re supposed to tell when their coming from and be clever cuz they always stalk you. But they dont if you re too far. And pop up from places they shouldnt be. Thats the only reason i have trouble with this level. When they corner you its not because they re QUICK. Its because they come from a completely DIFFERENT AREA. Cuz normally they wouldnt catch up to you if you kept running "like the tip says". But they do if a monkey is in the area you re heading to. Look how the luck based mechanic of the level works: Two of the monkeys are stalking trying to shortcut to you from behind and cut you up from shortcuts which is what SHOULD happen but a third monkey that has been seperated and changed its route (because it started walking when you get distance) is already in the way you re headed cornering you with the rest and finishing you off unless you re lucky and you can find an extra route but theres a small chance this ll happen . Making it luck based... no matter what strategy you have if this happens you re most likely screwed. MOST you tubers give up on the first level after chapter 3s (maybe this was on chapter 2's?) Update. Yes they lack a strategy but even if they had one the monkeys still move too unpredictably to avoid being cornered. Making it an issue for S rankers as well. What needs to be changed is simply the mechanic when the monkeys walk when you get distance and be removed. THIS... is whats making the game luck based compared to the rest of the levels that are 100% skill and strategy based

The map is designed for 3 monkeys because of there always being atleast 4 ways to go meaning that if you are cornered by all of them you still have a way to go and while you can get stuck in corners if your smart you can even outsmart them their because of there ai trying to find the quickest rout to you. The monkeys ALWAYS know where you are and do not roam like the clowns do so there is no luck there like you said. I think they are just too fast because if they always know where you are then they can just surround you faster then you can get away or think of a solution.

No thats not true... ive studied the level VERY well. The monkeys DO walk when you get distance. There is always a chance a murder monkey might cut me up no matter where i am. Even with the speed boost. Ive studied each one of the levels for many hours. And actually there isnt always four ways to go. If you re at a long hallway and a monkey stalks you while another monkey pops from one other path that leads to your hallway in front of you.. you cant run anywhere.. you have one monkey in front of you.. one behind you. You re trapped. The monkeys CAN always see you but they do not ALWAYS chase you. Thats because the monkeys are supposed to cut you up from predictable locations but they dont. Like i said they pop up from place they shouldnt be. Unpredictable locations. The monkeys should always chase you and attempt to make shortcuts to you. But if they move unpredictable and they corner you in a hallway with no other route to go.. you re dead. And they should keep the ai as good as it is. Just remove the walking mechanic. As an expert of this game and someone who spend a lot of time studying it. It is this the mechanic that makes it rng. BECAUSE if they DID always stalk you.. they would come from predictable locations so that you could strategise. Hope you understand now

I see what your getting at now, thanks for clarifying.

Monkeys are slowest enemies in game and you ask to slow them down

I understand what you mean but its situationaly different due to the tight map, there being 3 monkeys and how there AI works in general.

Now that ive studied more slowing them down WOULD help because even if they are in unpredictable places they can be slown down from cornering you but i believe that the level should rely on relentless pursuit like it was planned to at first and remove the walking mechanism because the players that will first experience the chapter will not understand it and it will be troubling for them. Because the freaking tip tells the player that they can always see them and makes them assume that they ll keep chasing them while they dont. And makes the gameplay extremely confusing. Even i that im aware about the mechanic and im a speedrunner cannot figure out a strategy to counter it lol.

I got a S rank on monkey business even though its taken Forever.. Do edges first and get the center ones when the stun powerup or GPS powerup are active.
