Too stupid to play?

I tried the first level (monkey hotel) and understood, that I play a kind of Pacman. So far, so good. But Pacman is quite ok, because you can develop a strategy. In this game, the enemies got me after seconds. I run down 4-5 hallways, and then the first monkey finds me. Turning around, running away, and the next enemy runs directly towards me. Death. It happens 3 times in one minute. The end.

How is this game played? Feels more like rolling dices, instead playing Pacman.

It is rolling dices. In later levels there are more rooms to juke the enemies or hear their sounds, but in the first level it's a game of luck.

There is a strategy, stick to the outer area until you collect all those shards then move inwards. Listen for the sounds the monkeys make and their direction then run the opposite direction.

You just hold the "shift" key while moving.

Sprinting is not the problem. Surrounded by enemies is stressing.

the monkeys have AI to split up and to try to cut you off and sandwich you there is a stratagy where you find a secret room huddle in a corner and wait for all 3 monkeys to group up near you than bolt out of the room

The key is to take the "long way around" like people said theres 3 monkies, i dont think all 3 spawn at the start but over time, and they will split to try to cut you off. They are not smart and only follow this logic, if you try to shortcut through a 1 way path they will catch you. You are faster than them. So you need to pass enough spaces where they cant logic "ok so now we need to split up to cut him off" and instead think "i still need to get closer".

All monkeys spawn at the same time, but in different spots

the first level is rng and needs very genious and heavy strategies. Beat this level and i promise the next levels are gonna be fun

unfortunately if you get distance they stop following you completely. And they will eventually corner you all over again. This is way too bull for a first level im telling ya i dont have trouble s ranking the other levels. Their splitting ai needs to be nerfed and the walking mechanic needs to be removed

That strategy doesnt work anymore the game has been updated and its harder. They can now even corner you in the outskirts even if you dont do any shortcuts

Dark Deception doesn't have the best difficulty curve to be honest. The monkeys are way harder to deal with than later enemies (like Agatha and the Dread Duckies for examples)

You need to pay more attention to the monkey's footsteps. It's ok.
