MySims™

MySims™

Is anyone else not feeling the new controls?
I had the original PC game both on CD and also on the EA App, and I've played it a lot. I bought the rerelease, for MySims Kingdom mostly, but also because I wanted the improved graphics, and the upcoming QoL features in the regular MySims.

But I was really disappointed to see they changed all the controls. I know the rerelease was made with a controller in mind, I do, but I wish there was an option to switch to the old PC controls. Or that there was at least a way to change the controls manually. Like, I play with the arrow keys usually, but it's not possible here.

If I remember correctly, in the old PC game, you could move your character by keeping one of the mouse keys pressed. I used the mouse a lot when playing the original game, only using the keyboard when building furniture. But here, it's like, changing everything I was used to. And, again, I see why they did this, but as a returning player, and someone who played the original game a lot, it's really pushing me out of my comfort zone.

I'm praying for a controls update, but I'm not expecting much. At least, I'm happy to know they're working on a way to make Sims move into the Garden. That was something I always wished for in the original release, so that's still an upgrade in my book. But man, I miss the old controls a LOT......

I personally have found the controls intuitive and convenient just because of other games that I play and my setup, but I am definitely for games having rebindable controls and I think an option to switch to old PC controls for returning PC players could be a good idea.
