FNaF2 is NOT a Prequel. Stop this.

First of all, there are improved versions of the animatronics. That, right off the bat should tell you that it's a sequel. Phone guy even says that, "They tried to rebuild Foxy." They are more kid friendly, and less ugly. Why would they keep the ugly ones?

Phone guy also states that the resturaunt has a negative reputation, therefore the game probably takes place AFTER the bite of '87, unlike how you children theorize.

The resturaunt was hooked up with a generator, so it can't run out of power in this one. Why would they remove the generator?

Lastly, the new anamatronics have advanced facial regonition technology. Seems advanced for something in the 80's, especially for just an anamatronic.

Oh my gosh. People nowadays are so ignorant. They can't see what's so obvious and starts arguments, false accusations etc. It's just... stupid. It is obvious that it's a prequel, it is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ obvious, you cannot comprehend the fact that it is.

There was a small diner where the 4 main animatronics from the first game were first made and used. Foxy, Freddy, Chica and Bonny. FNAF 2 takes place in the first actual pizzeria after that small diner. They scrapped the old animatronics and created the toy ones. FNAF 1 takes place in the pizzeria after the FNAF 2 one, where they 'rebuilds' or 'remakes' the old ones, excluding Foxy I guess one could say. This is hinted during the course of the game. The paycheck even reads 1987. If you work at a pizzera in real life (in the present time), when you get your paycheck it doesn't say 1987 on it even if its 2014, now does it?

The fact that it's a prequel is right infront of your eyes. How can you be so ignorant not to notice it? The only thing this discussion has changed is making you look like an idiot. I'm not saying you are, but you are really making yourself out to be one.

this arguments are only valid untill around the 3/4th nights, i still think that the proofs found on 5/6th nights are way stronger than the points presented in here, the game makes you think its a sequel to reveal itself a prequel in the end there could be a lack of full knowledge by the writer of the thread about the later nights.

For a closing statement people should just calm down and stop taking this personally we are all trying to be rational and find the truth behind the story there is no need for irrational insults nor to be agressive.

Oh goodie, time to disprove stuff. Yeah, most of this is proven wrong because at the end of Night 6 in FNaF 2 you see a newspaper, and at the end of the article, the CEO of Fazbear Entertainment states they will reopen one day, even if with a lot smaller budget. So, in FNaF 1, they decided to remake the old old ones, but tried to make it slightly less uglier (see: Chica's teeth). And Foxy was kept once again, given that they didn't really have enough money to make a shiny Mangle. Either that, or they thought it would get, well, mangled again. Of course, the paycheck in FNaF 2 has the date "13/11/87", right when the Bite of '87 occured. To clarify, the "old restaurant" the Phone Guy mentions is "Fred Bear's Family Diner" (or something after that), where the old animatronics were. The generator was removed, again, because of the small budget. Some further proof that the game is a prequel, for your pleasure:

• Phone Guy isn't dead.
  
• Phone Guy mentions a yellow suit being stolen on Night 6. This is most likely the Golden Freddy suit, as Golden Freddy starts appearing on this night. This suit was then used to murder the five children, as it said in a newspaper clipping in FNaF 1.
  
• Phone Guy appears to know a lot less about the animatronics' behavior in FNaF 2. After Night 6, for one day he decides to take the night shift himself. Then, in FNaF 1, he is a lot more educated about them wandering at night and sounds a lot more confident while telling you what they tend to do.

Gravity is just a theory.

Dude almost nothing in this game is confirmed, thats part of the game. The game is a prequel, theres a ton of evidence for it. Truly, at this point the people who say otherwise are either trolling or misinformed. Check out the 5 nights a freddy's subreddit to learn about what is going on.

That paycheck was made as a joke. It wasnt meant to be taken seriously. It was only a joke. Thats why the next paycheck afterwards is only 20 dollars. Scott was trolling to get people to react exactly like this. *And it worked*

Lets not nitpick just out of desperation to be right.

In the first game night 5 ended with a distorted call that when reversed and and played in a higher pitch is found out to be from the audio book about a man who believed metal was alive much like a plant. and that souls and bodies could grow and meld into them.

scott does not put something in his game that does not mean something. it's just not how he writes.
