Five Nights at Freddy's 2

Five Nights at Freddy's 2

FNAF 2 is a prequel!
Hey guys! So this is my theory about Five Nights at Freddy's 2. IT'S A PREQUEL. Why?
Evidence: Lets begin from the start of the game. When the newspaper clipping about the Grand Re-Opening comes up when you first play Night 1, it tells you that you earn $100 dollars. In FNAF 1, your player earned $120. Using the helpful ways of math, people were able to find out that FNAF 1 took place in around 1993 since that is around the time of when it was actually legal to pay someone that amount of money. So just by the pay dropping in FNAF 2, it's obvious that it was before FNAF 1 since it would have to be an even earlier year to get payed so little. A huge question is I thought the phone guy was dead, so why does it have the same voice? Many people answer this by simply saying that Scott couldn't get a new voice for phone guy because he was the only person who made the game. While that fact that he did make tha game by himself is true, scott shoud've easily got one of his friends to be the new voice for the phone guy or at least change the voice using computer programming. So in FNAF 2... it's the same phone guy :). Now lets look back about the date FNAF 2 took place in. When you get your check after the 5th night, the date listed in the top right corner is 1987... recognize it? This is another reason why it took place before FNAF 1. In FNAF 1 , phone guy talks about the Bite of '87 and tells you how it happened a few years back, in FNAF 2, there is no mention about the Bite... because it hasn't happened yet. So why does it say Grand Re-Opening though?! On the night phone call, phone guy mentions the first ever restaraunt that was actually called "FredBears Family Diner". The grand re-opening isn't for the restaurant in FNAF 1, its for FredBears Family Diner which phone guy says has been closed for a while now. And the animatronics? The old ones that people think are from FNAF 1 were actually used in FredBears Diner... They were then taken apart to help use some of their parts for the new animatronics. After the restaurant closed that you play in on the game, those old anima. were rebuilt and used once again for a new restaurant... the one in FNAF 1. Thats why FNAF 1 has the same animatronics. They rebuilt the ones that were taken apart that were used in FredBears Diner and put together again to use as the new ones after the closure of the one you work in at FNAF 2. Also, in night 6, phone guy says how someone used a "yellow" spare suit that they had in the back. Phone guy sounds extremely worried in this call. This could be talking about the perso who lured 5 kids in the back and killed them by dressing up as an animatronic. He also says how there is going to be one last event the next day. A birthday party. And this is when the Bite happened. The phone guy says how after the person used a yellow suit, the animatronics seemed to start acting up, which led to the bite of '87 the next day at the party. Also in FNAF 1, phone guy says that the animatronics used to be able to walk around during the day. And in FNAF 2, phone guy says "their even able to walk around during the day". Which means your in the time before the Bite when they could walk around. Phone guy also then says in the night 6 call that he will probably become the security guard when the restaurant opens again. EH?! THOSE RECORDINGS YOU GET IN FNAF 1 IS PHONE GUY SINCE HE SAID THAT HE WILL TAKE OVER NIGHT SHIFT! Thats why they have the same voice! ITS THE SAME PEOPLE! FNAF 2 TAKES PLACE BEFORE FNAF 1!!! (Sorry if some things in my theory didnt make clear sense. I had a bit of trouble explaining some things)

FNAF 2 is a prequel. Why? I have more than 10 reasons of rock SOLID evidence to give you:
Why FNAF2 is a Pre-Sequel

SOLID FACTS:
1) A few logs hint at the game being a prequel to the first game such as; The first game mentions in the first call “They used to be allowed to walk around during the day, but not anymore.” and in the second game it says “They are allowed to roam around even during the day” among other hints in the calls.
2) None of the animatronics look anything like the first game, almost as if concepts of designs were taken and made less scary to be more kid friendly.

3) The owners in the first game are cheap, as if they are having to save money due to having spent too much money.
4) You get more money in your paycheck in your first game than in the second, like inflation would cost your minimum wage to go up.

5) The check in the second game has the date of 11-12-87 on it. The first game mentions the “bite of ‘87” and the second game makes no mention of the bite of ‘87, so the bite must have happened during or after the events of the second game.
6) The first call in the second game mentions that the “old” animatronics were being retrofitted with SOME of the new animatronic software. Not necessarily all of it.

7) The calls mention the name of the old DINER (not pizzeria) called something like Fazbear’s Family Diner.

8) The morning shift suddenly becomes open and the phone guy SAYS he will “probably take the night shift himself”. The first game starts with him explaining that “I used to be the night guard before you, but this is my last week.”, also explaining how he was still alive until night 4 of the first game in which he is then killed.

9) A call mentions that someone has stolen a golden Freddy outfit. Also, the cops are beginning an investigation by night 4/5.

10) The animatronics in the first game were not phased by flashing lights yet the new ones apparently are as a shut off protocol.

11) Cut scenes show the first game’s animatronics and the Chica you see looks nothing like the “old” one.
Story being pieced together:

The story begins as you are now working to guard this new Pizzeria in 1987. You watch the animatronics and attempt to survive as things begin to transpire in the morning. By night 3 or 4 someone has stolen a yellow Freddy suit. As in the lore of the first game, this may mean the morning employee has taken the suit to lure kids into the back closet to kill them.

By night 6, the morning shift is open and you are asked to work it for a birthday party if you are able to make it through night 6. The phone guy then takes over while you work the next morning until the business is then shut down for a time. Upon returning, the phone guy takes the night shift and is killed on night 4 of his shift. The first game’s events then transpire where Mike learns about some of these things but is then fired due to “tampering”.
Speculation:

-The first guard employee took the suit and began killing/kidnapping children after asking to be moved to the morning shift.

-The bite of ‘87 wasn’t a child, but the employee who attempted to steal a 6th child but was stopped in his attempt by an animatronic who had earlier in the week seen him take a child and in response, due to being connected to the criminal database, bit off his frontal lobe to protect the children.

-The animatronics were upgraded and new exoskeletons made in their design as an attempt to replace the cute animatronics, which were confiscated for the police to investigate the deaths and missing children.

-The company by the first game is now in a lot of debt to pay for getting the new exoskeletons, dealing with police, paying the families of the dead children, etc. and must save power and money to keep running at this point.

-The building was refitted with doors and some areas torn down or replaced in the time the place was closed for investigation to prevent future disaster involving employee death.

-The reason the phone guy is afraid of the old animatronics is that the old business they were in had been closed for some time DUE to incidents involving the animatronics becoming hostile or malfunctioning due to the time being when animatronics were first being made and tested.

-The tampering done in the first game may have been done by the marionette, who seems to have some influence on the events of the first game due to cut scenes then revealing he was there.

-The marionette took the souls of children and put them in the first game’s suits, thus “giving life” as in the mini game does.
This is what I have gathered with my friend after closely examining the logs and story of both the games.
"you might notice theres no doors for you to close *mocking chuckle*" the phone guy is the guy from the first game who was killed and stuffed in golden freddy the recordings played back through the restaurant to the new guy mike and hes now back to mock the new security guard and mess with him he does take the shift for fnaf 2 protagonist but not in a way youd expect both night 6 and seven golden freddys on the move aka him

That, like others have made as a point against me, could just be an easter egg; a nod to players of the original game.

It's slim, but it's what I've got to explain that.

Yes the phone guy in FNAF 2 is the same guy from FNAF 1. The character you play as in FNAF 2 isn't Mike and FNAF 2 is a prequel. Golden Freddy isn't him. There is the Marionette, the "theory" that you are saying is based VERY loosly, mind you. I have 10+ solid facts while yours is a minor and barely believable theory so therefore, FNAF 2 is a prequel.
Soul Night Nov 11, 2014 @ 6:35pm
also the phone guy describes about how the old animatronics are ugly and "smell" a common word used in the first games lores about the mucus and blood so the kids were already stuffed in by this point hence why the place is haunted as scott himself said and already known from the first game their old and beyond repair practically breaking at the seams look at chicka mouth always agape seemingly floating and bonnie has no face if its a prequel they sure did a hell of a good job fixing the poor things
Chasey Nov 11, 2014 @ 6:35pm
Phone guy says the old animatronics were being made into new ones. Ergo, this is a sequel. But the check says '87. SO I'm pretty confused, too.

Who knows? The old animatronics, could be, OLLLLD. Like, really old. They've obviously been around for a long time, and the phone guy makes a mention of maybe fixing them up and dumping the toy versions in one of the later nights.

Let me elaborate for both of you. There are 3 places: Freddy's something Diner, Freddy's pizzeria (FNAF 2), Freddy's pizzeria 2 (FNAF)
The first Freddy's restaurant was a diner, something probably happened there hence the smell. They decided to make it more kid friendly so they shifted to Freddy's pizzeria and scrapped the old ones for parts and bought the new ones. They placed some new parts into the old ones but decided to not use them. FNAF 2 events occur here. Then, the bite of 87' + child incident happened, causing them to go bankrupt and therefore they sold the new animatronics as the cost to maintain them was too high. They then shifted to a cheaper restaurant (FNAF 1's pizzeria) and they repaired the old animatronics.

the minigames refer to saving the children the cutscenes where the other 3 other than foxy are staring at you are from the original games pizzaria also the name of the diner is fred bears diner thing though the pizzaria from the first games more of a diner than a pizzaria in the shape of places like chuck-e-cheeses its small no games just dining area stage and what not the second game has your average lay out for the places we know so well games toys and what not mangle his/herself is foxy to some extent but because the kids messed with the poor thing so much everyone just gave up on her as they did with foxy after he "broke" by evolution of the pizzaria from the first games layout to this one this ones obviously the newer version and like i said the old ones are so worn out and broken being still moving thanks to the kids souls haunting them that fixing them was impossible theyve used them as spare parts hence theyre in the parts and services until and even still when moving very broken

I do wonder if you read any of my points. The minigames are you abducting the 5 children, not saving them. I already told you, 3 places. Diner ===> FNAF 2 Pizzeria (1987) ===> FNAF Pizzeria
They are moving because of the marionette, not the kids souls.

and when they attack do explain then how the lights flicker a bit then go out for a second and mangle causes radio interference throughout the building... but why? theres gotta be a radio used by one of the animatronics to give you the messages or something being disrupted by him

They don't. It's most likely the players' sanity. Again, the marionette is responsible for most of the things there.

hang on... the ceo says "even if we have to have a smaller budget" i mean sure with the doors and things maybe but your paycheck in fnaf 1 is 20 dollars more than fnaf 2 thats not a lower budget
Soul Night Nov 11, 2014 @ 8:38pm
along with the fact that you know the whole place compared to the first games version is neater more clean so to speak and more fuel efficient powers not wasted more animatronics to the gang the wires across the map that jack and mangle come through on to get you lore aside plus the check could be an easter egg its all speculation when you think about it about the lore but the whole place is newer than the old one was in all aspects

Notice that you have infinite power usage in FNAF 2? Now they limit it in FNAF 1 due to bankruptcy
